Characters in and characters out? - VGF

The third installment of Super Smash Bros. has been announced . . . or at least hinted at (as if Nintendo wasn't gonna do it) and I was wondering, from first to second they kept all original characters, but to second third, do you suppose to make way for some of the new will they do away with some of the old?

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the blatant and weaker clones get the ax, i.e. Dr. Mario and Pichu, and at the same time, I'd love to see new guys take their places. Diddy Kong for instance has been overlooked for far too long, and hell, I said it in a topic before, but I wouldn't mind seeing Ash/Red make a debut (the "........" one not that "Gotta catch em all and make a lame anime series" one ^^)

So basically a topic of who you wanna see put in (believable please, no character not owned by Nintendo or ones that would never make it, ever) and ones you think have done their time and need to just be cut.

I'd like to see Wario, Ash, Diddy, Pit, and some form of Pious Augustus. Also add pig-beast Ganon as another Giga Bowser-type boss.

Redesign Ganondorf to have his own moves, and drop the Doc. Not sure about Pichu or Young Link.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Armor Mewtwo! The defense of Metal Mewtwo but half the weight, and higher attack. ^_^ I always considered Mewtwo a villian anyway.

I'd rather see alternate costumes than clones. That'll save much space:

Mario: Normal outfit, 80's outfit, Dr. Mario outfit, Fiery Mario outfit.
Luigi: Normal outfit, 80's outfit, Fiery Luigi outfit.
Ash Ketchum (if he makes it): GB outfit, Anime outfit, GBA outfit, Advance Anime outfit.
Princess Peach: Normal outfit, sports outfit, Nurse Peach outfit, Shadow Queen (?).
Wario (if he makes it): Normal outfit (long sleeved), Normal outfit (short sleeved), Biker outfit (Wario Ware), Warioman costume, Vampire Wario.

As for characters out, Pikachu should be out and be replaced by Ash and Pikachu together.

^Highly doubt that they'd take out Pikachu. They'd probably make Ash/Red without a Pikachu, they would use the starters from R/B instead (Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charmander).

On that note, I thought that would be a cool Smash Down attack, Call Starters. It would call one of the three starters for a damaging shield like attack that you can walk out of if you want. Charmander would be Ember with a circle of flames, Bulbasaur would be Razor Leaf with a circle of spinning leaves, and Squirtle would be bubble with a cicles of floating bubbles. ^_^

Heh... I've just had an idea....

Why not add a "Boss Rush Mode"?
In it you would square off against final bosses/major bosses from Nintendo's series.
In it could be Giygas, Shadow Queen, Heavily Armored Pokey, Wart, Nergal, Fomortiis, Andross, Majora, and others.

(Technically: I wouldn't mind Nintendo making deals with other companies to get their characters in on the action - I mean, they've had Capcom help them with their Zelda games before, right?)

It's quite obvious that Wario will be in the game. I was incredibly surprised that he wasnt in Melee, but he's gonna be in the next one. He's the #1 most requested character for Smash Bros. Revoloution.

Other then Wario, I'd like to see some PM party members (Especially Vivian),
Fawful, and Tingle.

For pure clones(Pichu, Dr. Mario, Young Link), I'd like to see them as an alternate costume or hidden costume(like in Mortal Kombat Trilogy with classic character change). Others just need their own moves(Ganondorf, Falco, Roy)

No one will come out, as that's just how Smash is. Not counting unplayable characters, of course(Shadow Link, Giga Bowser, Wireframes(probably will be replaced like the polygons were). Mostly, I'd like to see only 1 or 2 new pokemon, and more characters from less used series.(Earthbound, Kirby, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Ice Climbers, Fire Emblem, and maybe unused series too.)

Either way, they haven't dissapointed us yet, so I'm not worried at all. The first Smash was a beautiful game, and Melee changed the face of the planet forever. Revolution will more than likely bring a new age of fighting.

whats different between Falco and Fox/Roy and Marth? that isn't different between
Pichu and Pikachu/Link and Young Link? Roy and Marth are practically recolors too... i do admit the cloning was a kinda cheezy idea... but almost all the characters have clones in their own games don't they?(maybe it's just because i don't like Roy and Marth and i'm out of line (EVERYONE here uses them

there's no variety in playing this against anyone i know))

Bring in the one everyone hates as a much weaker and faster clone:Waluigi, though I hate him and he does the most inapropriate thing in Mario Strikers when he wins.
Take out Dr.Mario and put him as an outfit. I'd like to see new outfits for the bros.

Mario:Normal, switched,(mario all stars)Dr.Mario,black and white,fire,Luigi clothes
Luigi:Normal,fire,Mario clothes,black and white,switched(mario all stars) incredibly dark blue pants and blue shirt

A lot of choices but hey it would be cool.
