Soul Stealer: Onus and Kagami

There are eight people immediately surrounding you, five males and three females. They all look as dazed and confused as you, but some are starting to sharpen up. One of the males, an older, violent-looking type, attacks another male (this one barely into his teen years) with a stick, and the two begin to fight, although the contest is clearly uneven-- the kid is outmatched. Everyone else looks on, but they begin to eye each other warily.

What do you want to do?

(By the way, KB and Parra are there. You're free to interact with each other in any way you wish. Be warned, though-- if you die and your soul is stolen by another player, you'll have to create a new character. If you're killed by an NPC, on the other hand, I'll let you restart from that battle or situation-- I'm not that cruel.)

Onus-- It works on the heart. You see a vague transparency of the man leaving his body and being sucked into the ring. You feel the ring begin to pulse slightly, although you don't feel any different yet. However, you do feel a slight click in the back of your head, and you realize that you can cast your spell again.

Kagami-- You watch all this with some anxiety. What will his next action be?

What will you both do now?

Okay. You're in a small open area. You can see the place in the wall where the gateway should be, but it seems to have disappeared when they shut it. To your left is a path into a forest; ahead of you, a path into a plains area; to your right, wild hills. Nobody is nearby except for one young man...

Except now somebody emerges from the forest. He looks to be a very old man. He is crawling on his hands and knees towards you, and looks scratched up and bruised. He stops about fifty feet in front of you and collapses. He hails all of you, including the young man nearby, and asks you for aid. What do you say?
