Mirodel's fights (KB)

You wander into the arena, looking for someone to challenge, in order to test out your skills.

Hanging around the entrance, you can see three people who don't seem to have anyone to fight.

A guy about your age, but taller and slightly more muscled, sword on belt and shield on back.

A guy easily six or seven years older than you, but he appears to be about the equivalant level as you for whatever his style is. He wields a quarterstaff, and you can see two daggers on his belt.

The third person is a young woman, your age, smaller than you. She has a whip on her belt, and she wears claws.

The only one who is armored is the sword wielder, who is wearing a suit of studded leather.

As far as you can tell, they aren't talking to each other and don't seem to be interested in fighting one another, for whatever reason. The older guy with the staff looks at you and asks

"Interested in a fight?"

"Actually yes, If you're looking for one I'll fight you."

"Great. How about a friendly duel, no stakes?"

The two of you square off. He goes into a stance with left foot foot, body facing to the side. His staff is held in both hands much like a spear.

He watches you, waiting for you to act.

Go into Stepping Gale stance and move closer some. Then use Cyclone Step if he attacks.

You slip into gale stance and approach, shifting and moving unpredictably but towards him. He watches you carefully and after a few moments decides you aren't going to take the offensive. He thrusts his staff forward, draws it back and goes into a rapid series of forward thrusts, forcing you backwards, and unable to get past his staff. The attacks are quick, but with your agility you are able to cycle step past each one, until he gives one final thrust, which you are able to dodge, than quickly takes several large steps backwards and adjusts his stance.

Standing feet shoulder width apart, hands on the staff holding it in both hands horizontally rather than pointing it at you like with his initial stance.

Than he begins to chant.

Cast thorns around him.

Your spell seems to take less time to cast then his. He stops chanting and tries to run to the side and dives out of the way, catching several thorns in the leg, thigh, and shoulder, and the rest missing.

He kneels and starts pulling out the thorns, watching to see if you attack.

Cast Gale on him, and try to either push thorns into him or him into more thorns with it.

By the way, nothing really has a cost to it in the stats topic. If you change that tell me my MP or whatever so I can see how much more I can cast and stuff.
