Don't go asking where you can get the rom here, and you shouldn't have the rom in the first place unless you already own the game (WHY IN MY DAY WE HAD TO PAY 60 DOLLARS FOR A MEGAMAN GAME, AND WE HAD TO WALK THROUGH THE SNOW, UPHILL FOR 10 MILES TO GET IT). If you don't know how to patch an IPS file, or need help with something else, feel free to ask here or in PM. ![]() [ September 13, 2004, 09:27 AM: Message edited by: Mega Man Ultra ] |

If you haven't noticed, as well, Nintendo is rather fond of re-releases lately. Capcom just put out a disc for both PS2 and GCN with the original MM series on it, so I don't think it's as 'in the clear' as some would like. ![]() |

I encourage the use of roms in many cases, simply because a computer can out-perform an ancient system. My NES barely works. ![]() |

Back when it was still in it's infancy, I was supposed to work with some guys on the graphic portion of an NES emulator, but NESticle ended up being so good that we decided we might as well give up early rather than be outshined. ![]() |

I just remember the first functioning compile was named NES faker, but that was named by the lead programmer. We were doing it In Visual C++ 4, I think. After that, I started working on a project with the same guys competing with the DreamQuest 2000(final fantasy 6 type engine) project, which also was eventually held up. I was supposed to be lead artist on that one, but I only got to make battle sprites before someone jumped the team and that was over with. ![]() [ September 15, 2004, 01:51 PM: Message edited by: Mega Man Ultra ] |

The game was called Fusion Blade, and the plot involved several dimensions in a complicated Crono Cross type plotline, only without the ****ty engine and with a tad more logical plot, seeing as it didn't involve time paradoxes and whatnot. More on-subject; has anyone bothered to grab those ips patches? ![]() [ September 15, 2004, 08:13 PM: Message edited by: SPACE STALIN COMMIE LASER ATTACK ] |
