Game Idea my friend and I thought up.

My friend and I thought this up when we were bored:

Game name: Phantasy Star V: Phantasy Land

System: PS2

Genres: RPG

Storyline:

A dark computer Virus

Dark Force. The name itself strikes fear into the hearts of many people in the Algo solar system. It used to a thousand years ago, but the fear of Dark Force returning every thousand years faded after Chaz Ashley and his Comrades finished their adventures together.
What no one had known was that a piece of Dark Force had survived and had entered the world's computer system, where it had hidden for 1,257 years feeding off of excess data and learning internet secrets as well as absorbing research data. It had secretly thought up a plan to manifestate itself into a physical body. One thing remained...A lone star in deep space by the centre of the universe.
The Dark Force Virus had also learned of a new online-Virtual-reality game called "Phantasy Land". Already, thousands of anxious people had already retreived their game cards to enter virtual reality. It was the perfect oppritunity to strike. Dark Force hid itself inside the main server nicknamed "Mother Brain" where it remained unknown to the administrators of Phantasy Land. It carefully monitored the number of players online waiting for the best oppritunity to strike.

A world called Phantasy Land
15 year old Edwardo Agensen stared at the letter while his palms sweated in fear. His report card had come. His parents had confiscated his game card before he could log on to Phantasy Land and said that they would only let him log on to Phantasy Land in the summer if his overall Grade point average was over 3.0. He slowly tore open the letter, fearing what its contents would say, primarily in history. He had never liked history, and learning about weird guys named "Lassic", "Rhys", and "Chaz Ashley" bored him to tears. He opened up his report card-And sure enough, it said his G.P.A was exactly 3.0.
He ran to his parents, his heart full of excite. He handed them the slip of paper and grabbed his game card from the cabinet above the Trash Can saying only "Bye". He had ran out to the Phantasy Land Terminal to log on. He had gotten what he wanted-And visited Phantasy Land every day when his chores were done. Little did he know what he would get involved in when he logged on that eventful day when players became unable to log out...

What basically happens is that in the game, the Dark Force Virus blocks the log out feature once the amount of players in the game reaches an all time high. While the administrators work to fix the problem, the Dark Force Virus sends out endless SPAMmer accounts, hackers, glitches, and other small viruses to keep the administrators busy while it waits for the Phantasy Star to fully eclipse, which happens once every millenia and to whoever uses the Ancient Artifact (The Phantasy Key) to unlock the star will be granted infinite power, which the Dark Force Virus would use to make Phantasy Land into reality, which would kill all whose not logged on and there it can manifestate itself into a physical form and rule all and can kill whoever it wants too. (If you die in Phantasy Land, you just start again on the newbie server, if Phantasy Land was reality, if you die, then you're really dead). Eventually, you have to stop the Dark Force Virus.

It'd pretty much get sued by .hack, even though we thought that up and wrote it down in '98. (I found it on a slip of paper in my closet with some old schoolwork that was dated 1998)


And pretty much how the storyline works is that it'd be juggling the main storyline with the storyline of Phantasy Land (The online game you play, which would take up 35% of the total gametime and 100% of all the sidequests)
