Ideas for Mario games?

I'm now planning out a Mario game I wish to make with a level editor for Super Mario Bros. Does anyone have any ideas for the game? Level themes? Please keep in mind that I will have to play to the limitations of that particular NES engine (that, of course, doesn't mean the graphics have to TOTALLY blow. Just that they'll have that oldschool edge to 'em)

Maybe like Luigi has been kidnapped. And you have to go through a whole mechanical world of gizmos and doo-dads and robo-enemies.

what about luigi's castle (it would take place during mario sunshine).luigi has to gaurd the castle
while mario,peach, and the toads are on vacation.and luigi ends up starting a war between koopas and paratroopas. [img]smile.gif[/img]

How about a decent game where none of the f**kin' chracters go mad? Like Paper Luigi. It could be based on Luigi's adventures in Paper mario 2.

I think there should be Spin off Role Playing Mario Games Like Paper Luigi of Wario&Waluigi Superstar Saga, or Bowser RPG.
