It may have been decided that a mod was not necessary. It's been a while, so I don't recall. Either way, if they want a mod everyone will hear about it.

Election went nowhere if I remember rightly, and since the activity of this forum doesn't warrant the need for a Mod, a new election hasn't been called since. We'll see what happens if people start posting more.
