^1 good idea (cowbell) out of 3 attempts, not bad.

Well, Sonic Heroes being multiplatform pretty much drives the final nail in the coffin for having the hedgehog in a Smash game.

I still think Ash (or "Red", whatever) could have potential.
Wario would also be a good'un.
And perhaps Alex Roivas or Pious Augustus.

Whatever. I've got this great idea for a stage...

It's from the Pyoro minigame (doesn't matter which) from Wario Ware. You basically battle on the level, and you can jump on top of those buildings and things that appear in the background. The little seed things play a part. They can actually destroy the ground. But Pyoro (either version 1 or 2) can come out and eat the seeds, sometimes eating the white ones to restore the ground and the flashing one to restore the entire ground and destroy all seeds.

Hey, ya know what? There should be a Duck Hunt course! Just like a flat ground with a tree you can stand in and a bush to stand on, and the dog can pop up & knock you in the air occasionally, and ducks can fly by once in a while & do damage.

What about a level that has a regular area of land, but has a white backround with big letters that says:
"FOR THE LAST TIME, SONIC ISN'T IN SSBM OR THIS GAME! GET OVER IT!"

Add a crosshair which if targets you for more than a couple of seconds shoots you.
