As we all know gameing is progressing, and as that happens the amount of innovative games decrease. It's natural. Even so, it's sometimes depressing to see all these similar games, and very little that is different being introduced. So I thought, since this is the game idea's forum, why don't we try to come up with a couple innovation ideas ourselves? Post whatever you think is a little different, or might spice an old concept up a little bit. I'll start with something kind of stupid.
It's an Idea I once had invloves 2d sidescrollers. What if you had the ability to rotate the vertical plane(think turning around in place in a 3d world while keeping the side view and 2d gameplay)? If exicuted well, it could give a very 3-d feel to a sidescroller without taking away the great gameplay qualites of a sidescroller. Think of a Mega Man boss battle or a 2d Metroid game. Yes, there are great possibilities. Yes there are some games that sort of do something similar. So there is one of mine. Post some of yours.
