| Guest Posts: n/a | I don't have a title for it yet, but since Ikaruga was also called Project RS2, I figure that Project RS3 would be the appropriate tentative title to a sequel for Ikaruga. (BIG IKARUGA AND RADIANT SILVERGUN SPOILERS AHEAD!) Since Radiant Silvergun ended with the stone-like crashing to earth, many (including me) believe that the stone found by Hourai Tenrou, called the Ubusubagami Oukinokai, is indeed the stone-like. That would make sense, since this stone contains the power of the gods and is incredibly strong. Furthermore, like with Radiant Silvergun, this was the last boss of Ikaruga. Anywho, once again, this will be the story's main enemy. However, it was destroyed by Shinra at the end of Ikaruga. Well, you know how those smaller diamonds cirlce around it? Well, as the opening to Project RS3, we'd see a clip of Shinra against the stone-like. After his own firey death, we'd see Shinra's lasers destroy the Stone-like and all of the small diamonds surrounding it... except for two. These two survived the blast, but were sent out in different directions. One was blasted out of the space station in the Final Chapter of Ikaruga, and one was not. The top pilots in Ikaruga (the village) go to investigate the station. The diamond was found by one of the pilots, but as soon as he found it, the energy inside of it took control over him. He sped off unnoticed. The second one landed back in Ikaruga. One man found it and, as with the pilot, was taken over by it's immense power. Now that these two diamonds were all that was left of the stone-like, they contained all of the power of the gods inside of themselves. Although most of the Ubusubagami Oukinokai was destroyed, the god's power lived on. Only by defeating the entire Ubusubagami Oukinokai could the power be obliterated. Because the power lived on, it had only two places to go; the two stones. Thus, these stones were like two mini stone-likes with half the power each. Only now, after the main stone was defeated, these two diamonds began to seemingly think for themselves. If you've read "The Lord of the Rings," you'd know what I mean by that. Think of these diamonds as the one ring. This was not realized by their owners until the stones disposed of them. The stones had used their owners to raise their power. Once they were no longer useful, the men were killed by their stones. The two stones went off into the galaxy and began wreaking havoc everywhere. One stone made its way back to Ikaruga after a while. The people thought that all was lost, when in a last valliant effort, they were able to destroy the stone. However, the resulting explosion unleashed all of the stone's power and destroyed the village and its inhabbitants. Unfortunately, since the village was so remote, nobody else was able to tell what had happened there. As far as everybody else knows, there are still two stones out there. One man from the now virtually powerless Shintsusha empire was determined to find them, and use them to rebuild the empire. This is the man that you play as. I haven't thought of a name for him yet. Anyway, that's how the story opens. Along the way, your character's personalitly changes with everything he does. I have more ideas, and if anybody would like to hear them, just ask me.
