Not happy with simply being Rockstar Studios, former DMA guys aim North.
May 24, 2002 - Apparently, DMA, the developers behind Grand Theft Auto III, have changed their name again. It is official, and it's weird, but it's at least a less generic name this time around.
ABout two months ago, DMA changed it's name to Rockstar Studios, a name which we here at IGN abhorred. Now, we get at leat a little color.
Rocktar Studios is now Rockstar North. Yeah. Rockstar North. Why? Well DUH, Scotland is in the North, right? It's always raining and miserable there, so it's clearly the North!
We await the next name change in a matter of months, and we're hoping that this time, the studios alters its name to DMA Studios, which was a perfectly fine name the first time around. | |
