My parents didn't mind buying me VC...as long as I paid for it, it was alright with them/

You shouldn't buy the game behind your parents' backs. They will either give you TV, video game, or computer restriction. I tried doing something that they told me not to, and I got restricted from ALL THREE for a week. I had NOTHING to do that week.

^ Yea, going behind your parents back seems like a good idea till they find it out. But my parents are so oblivious to it they probably wouldn't recognize the game. I would just tell them that it was Metal Gear Solid or something and they'd believe me. Then I'd just be lying more and I would get into more trouble later but thats besides the point...

Hehe. My dad didn't want me to get the PS2 yet, but I ended up getting it behind his back. I'd play it whenever he was at work and when he got back home I quickly hid it. I don't really understand why he didn't want me to get it, but when he found out I had it a few months later he didn't seem to remember telling me not to buy it. At least he didn't make a big deal out of it.

My brother bought Vice City when he was 17, on the weekend after it came out. He had to go through 6 stores or so, cause in some of them it was sold out and in others the clerk didn't think he was 18. Well, at least he's 18 now. AND THOSE DAMN COPS CAN'T PROVE HE DID IT!!!!

My dad let me get GTA III. Then again, that could've been that I was fiteen at the time and had my own money saved up...

You're lucky. If I got Vice City anyways, then my parents would be on me like a magnet until I would tell the truth. Then, they would spank me (yeah, they still spank me). After that, I would be grounded for like 2 months.

For those of you who have cool parents who aren't too concerned about what you do, I envy you.
