| Guest Posts: n/a | It seems like I am one of the few (if any) that liked GTA:VC more than GTA III. I like the weapons, cars, environment, boats, missions, well basically everything better than GTA III. |

It adds more elements to the series: purchasing property; a central, fleshed-out plot and characters; a new selection of vehicles, including a series of bonus vehicles; and more explorable terrain. Even so, I still like playing GTA III. I can't wait for Sin City to come out and see what sort of improvements they've made in addition to the ones they introduced in Vice City. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | I think a better question would be "who liked GTA3 better than VC?" Both are great games, but I prefer VC because of the expanded features. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | I love, own, and play frequently both GTA III and VC. Heck, I just got all 100 hidden packages in VG again - I lost my old memory card. The new features in VC are great. Bikes, helicopters, tons of new weapons, bailing out of vehicles, (I love that one) popping tires, shooting through windshields, Malls, and a general added attention to detail in EVERYTHING make VC awesome. I do like the new map that VC takes place in, all in all it's very well put together. However, if I were forced to choose, I'd have to go with GTA III. There's just something about Liberty City that just sets the atmosphere perfectly. Plus, there are a few things that bug me in VC. The first dealing with the riot and pedestrians-with-weapons cheats. I notice that when combining these two cheats, the resulting riot is surprisingly calm. Because there are so many weapons, it seems that rarely will a citizen become equipped with a rocket or grenade of some sort. Now, if you did the same in GTA III, you would have utter chaos. With only one set, you'd be guaranteed to see explosions going off every few seconds. That my friend, was interesting! The other small thing is the “gore-cheat.” Anyone remember that one? The silent code in III that made limbs actually detach from bodies if an explosion went off close enough or they were shot with a powerful gun? Morbid I know, but damn if it wasn’t funny. I miss that in VC! I really do! Here’s an idea now: re-make GTA III but include all the extras they put into VC. I know it isn’t gonna happen, but I for one, think that would rock. |

Given the choice I would take Vice City, but GTA III was the most original game. That goes without saying. Vice City seems like more of an expansion pack. A very good expansion pack. With more new features than expansion packs would usually allow, but an expansion pack none the less. Of course, the motorbikes are a great feature in the game, as well as everything Fenix already mentioned. I also prefer the missions in Vice City. I miss the gore cheat too. I remember those riots with armed citizens in GTA III. Pure massacre, that was. Back then, you'd have to be STRONG to survive. You damn young 'uns and yer calm citizens that make themselves easy targets and yer chainsaws and yer calm riots wouldn't understand nothin' about REAL crime. Back in the day we were shot constantly, and we were THANKFUL for it! It was natural selection out on the streets! Those who couldn't cope were wiped out instantly, and that was DAMN good! Just some other weak moron we wouldn't have to deal with. Nowadays your average Joe Schmoe can pick up a 9mm and go on a shooting rampage... It's disgraceful, I tells ya! I think I've gone a bit off track... Anyway, the new features like the Apache make Vice City better than GTA III in my opinion, but GTA III was still an amazing game because it was so new. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Quote of the week: "The draft is white people sending black people to fight yellow people to protect the country they stole from red people." - James Rado. Take Metroid for example. As a side scrolling game, it was nearly flawless. It just worked perfectly that way. But when it came out for the GC, it was... well not a million times better (in my opinion). A great game, but still able to be surpassed by the likes of Super Metroid. | |

| Guest Posts: n/a | I didnt vote for GTA:3, I just voted against Vice City. I hate the boats, and how they play a larger part in Vice City than they did in GTA:3. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | They were still pretty minor, I thought, although I don't really like boat missions myself. Things I like about GTA VC over GTA III: The wonderful 'decadent paradise' theme is cool. 80's Miami rules. And, of course, the frequent Scarface references are appreciated. I liked the way the gangs operated: they travelled in clumps, which not only made them easier to avoid, but made the gang war between the Hatians and Cubans quite realistic, even when not in a mission. I also liked the way they weren't as threatening: There was only one area that was dangerous, and even there, the gangs only used pistols. (Remember GTAIII, where you held your breath everytime the words 'Saint Mark's' appeared on the screen?) The new features were all great, of course, and I liked the new vehicles. I did kind of miss the broad LC streets, and the very scenic downtown (VC downtown was kind of ****ty, actually). |
