Karol was a pretty good character too, and Estelle was okay-- but the others pretty much had one main part to their personality and that was it. What really got me hooked into Symphonia and Abyss was the awesome characters-- in Abyss, every character has a special personality trait, but then there is usually a huge freaking backstory that explains it, examples including: [huge freaking spoilers]\ Guy is scared of women because he witnessed all the female guards at his home protecting him, and he was freaking buried in their dead bodies. Anise is obsessed with money because her dad go tricked into a huge amount of debt and Mohs bailed him out, thus forcing her parents to become his slaves; Anise seeks to reclaim the money lost to free her parents. And the list goes on. And then in Symphonia, the eight different endings really really went into detail in every single character. I didn't know anything about Sheena's past really until the scene with her at Dirk's house if you do her ending, and of course the flanoir scenes with everyone really go deeper into each character. Especially with Zelos. Dude, I've played the game five times and I STILL don't know anything about him. A game I've beaten five times that still has huge-ass spoilers for me is a pretty awesome game indeed. The characters really make a game for me-- they're what the story revolves around. That was the one factor that Vesperia disappointed me in... there were a few good characters, but for the most part they were very... blah.[/rant] |

There's supposed to be a Vesperia movie, from what I hear. Yeah, movie. Animooted, no less. Sounds like a prequel to the game. Also, the PS3 remake sounds like what happened with the Symphonia remake. While I'm not sure if it got complete voice overs, it'll happen in the PS3 version, as well as new costumes, side quests, and, of course, new mystic artes and crap. And another thing is a new PSP game, Tales of VS. Sounds like it'll be a fighting game in 2D and will be like Tales of the World with a bunch of different Tales characters together. |

The thing that makes the Tales of characters so awesome is their own setting. Lloyd wouldn't rock NEARLY as much if he weren't giving corny speeches about how horrible Exspheres are whilst simultaneously rescuing Colette from certain doom. :{/ Also.. Quote:
Zelos betrays you Where Lloyd makes a comment about what Zelos REALLY felt behind that happy go luckiness about him. The thing with Zelos is that he seems shallow, but is probably the deepest character in the game. Well, I'll finish this playthrough and two more and then finally do his. :{P | |

Looks like a Smash Bros. or Dissidia type of game with Tales characters. Gameplay wise it actually reminds me a little bit of DON (DBZ VS Naruto VS One Piece) (No I'm not lying) Also, anyone else notice a bunch of scenes in that trailer are ripped straight from the Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 2 Opening? YouTube - Tales of the World Radiant Mythology 2 Japanese Opening Well regardless, it's awesome. Although chances are just like Radient Mythology 2 it won't see a US release. *Imports and waits for translation patch* |
