I was religiously downloading the episodes at first, but now I'm about 20 episodes behind.

ToA anime is awesome, though. Ion sounds like a guy... wtf is wrong with that??? 0_o

(but Anise is squeaky enough to render the above worthless.. argh my eearzz)

There's going to be a Tales of Vesperia film but I feel that one's gonna be compressing a story that already felt like it needed a few more hours of writing even MORE.

I agree, though. The characters and story were the major weak point (only two new ones and laughably static old characters whose changes make little sense), but the changes to the map and battle system were also very lame.

It didn't help that it didn't check to see what ending you got in ToS. Depending on which one you got, certain parts of the story make even less sense than they normally would.

I liked the game at first because I'd been dying for a sequel ever since the ORIGINAL came out.

Then I played it, saw how much they majorly fudged up the characters (OK, the new characters are a whiny emo retard, an obnoxious obsessive not interesting at all or deep at all heroine, and a miserable failure of a kratos knockoff), and how seriously dumb the game was all in all, and decided to pretend that it never happened.

Also the end of the final dungeon was so cool in design and so horribly horrible in layout. Oh man. They took every chance this game had to be good and dunked it in sewage water. :{/

Music remixes were cool though.
