Well, in Flanoir four people leave the city, and Lloyd and the other three stay. Now, depending on what choices you've made throughout the game, what you've said in those light ring skit things, and other stuff, some characters will have a higher affection for you. The three characters with the highest affection for you will stay in Flanoir. The person who likes you most will knock on your door at night. If you refuse them, the person with the next highest affection level will come. If you refuse them, the third person will come, and if you refuse THEM Kratos is the default. If Kratos is one of the three people who likes you most then Colette is the default. So, whoever you agree to go on a walk with will be the person your ending is based on. Here is how the ending will differ: -Right before you go into Heimdall's forest to fight Kratos and release Origin's seal, the person will go on another walk n talk with you. -After you fight Origin and Mithos comes alive in his Cruxis Crystal, he will possess and kidnap the body of the person you spoke to in Flanoir. If Kratos is the person you chose, then Colette gets possessed. -If you do Kratos's ending, Kratos re-joins you after the Tower of Salvation thing instead of Zelos. Also, you kill Zelos. -At Dirk's house near the game's end but BEFORE Flanoir (I think...), all the characters will be spread out for you to talk to. The character with the highest affection will be on the terrace, and you must speak to that person to proceed. These last two aren't considered spoilers so: -Throughout the game you will notice several other things differ depending on affection, even before the Flanoir scene. For example, a 'Combo!' skit will appear with Lloyd and whoever likes you most every now and then. -To know how the characters feel about you, talk to the Triet fortune teller. She'll tell you how each individual character feels about you, and if you say 'I dunno', she'll describe the person who likes you most. Also, due to these extra scenes and stuff with the highest affection character, doing a certain character's ending will tell you a lot more about that character. In Zelos's case, his past is ABSOLUTELY shrouded in mystery unless you do his story, and his story is just OMFG SPOILERS DEEP STORY JUST WOW. Or so I've heard. I'll let you know when I actually get to his ending. I still have three more before that. :P This could be considered a spoiler, but it's not like OMG SPOILERZ bad: Oh, and the really funny thing is that you can kind of alter Lloyd's love life depending on who you choose. If you pick any of the girls, then Lloyd and the lady you choose will develop feelings for one another. Yes, this includes Raine. Trust me, I just did her ending. I thought Symphonia, cliched as it was, was a phenomenal game, although I have yet to finish Phantasia. My main problem with ToP is that it's waaaaaaaay too easy to get hopelessly lost in that game. It does a terrible job of telling you where you need to be and where you need to go. I swear, I'm not even halfway through and I've already spent a good five hours wandering in circles trying to find where I need to go. |

I've developed a system of jumping over him when he starts attacking then hitting his back, then jumping back. HOWEVER, He keeps wedging himself in a corner so I can't jump over him. Then I get stuck in his attack and it's GAMEOVER for me. >< The really awesome thing about playing on Mania mode is that, rather than being able to get away with just hacking and slashing, it makes you really get to know your enemy. You have to learn their attack patterns so you can survive fighting them. It's really awesome, considering that the dungeons no longer pose any hardships at all... XD |

She's fairly easy to win over. ![]() Yeah, I'll tell ya... if you want to get Colette, Kratos, or Sheena, it's easy. For Colette and Sheena, just be nice the whole game... and for Kratos, well, he's a default. HOWEVER, let me tell you that if you want to get Raine or Presea, it's best to know that you want to do their ending from the start. Raine NEVER would have shown up in Flanoir if I hadn't answered every question from the beginning of the game in her favor. :/ Yeah, since I've played this game more times than any other sane person, I've discovered a lot of differences in gameplay based off of who you pick. Since my sister only did Colette's then Kratos's twice (she's obsessed><), she never noticed the things I do. Heh... I never play ToS when my sister's nearby because when I do she screams at me "PLAY A NEW GAME FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!" ![]() |

Afterwards Kratos re-joins you rather than Zelos, and he is the one who saves your comrades from certain doom rather than Zelos. Haha, this is one of my favorite things to do in video games. Most people think I'm crazy for it... I LOVE re-playing games and doing different things with different effects. I've beaten Paper Mario, OoT, and this game SO MANY TIMES that I never even hesitate in dungeons. Why do I replay them? To LEARN MORE STUFFZ. In this game especially, I love to do sidequests and extra things and have different people have higher affections... it's INTERESTING. I end up knowing so much STUFF by the end... and it's really cool!!! My personality loves to cling to stuff I love. Once I play a game, I can't just leave it. So, I always re-play games tons of times. I love doing it... and I also love trivia and random information. So, I always play games mutliple times to learn cool stuff nobody else really knows. ![]() Crazy I am, but I enjoy what I do. I would be a kickass beta tester. :P |

When the party is going to leave Flanior, Zelos says he'll do something at the tower(Forgot). If Lloyd asks, "Can I trust you?", say bye to Zelos. If he says, "I trust you.", Zelos will not die. I prefer Zelos over Kratos, personally. Despite not having Judgement, he's pretty badass. |

I thought that the only reason you kill Zelos is because you do Kratos's ending, and thusly, Kratos will rejoin your party. If kratos is gonna be there, Zelos has to go. Am I wrong? See, I've yet to do Kratos's ending. I'm saving his and Zelos's for last because they're the bestest. ![]() And, well... as to your question about waiting between playthroughs? This is the pattern I ALWAYS tend to follow on a game I'm obsessed with: -Play it through once -Become so obsessed with it that after it's over, I must PLAY MOAR. So the split second after I beat it the first time, I go for a second run. -Usually either complete second run and take a break OR quit in the middle of second run then break. -Play over and over again in spaced amounts. So, I start out with two or one and a half straight playthroughs. After that, I usually space out my playthroughs... usually about once a year or maybe more often. In the case of ToS, I would have completed my second runthrough had my game not decided to freeze during a scene OVER HALFWAY THROUGH THE GAME. I got so pissed I gave the game a rest for awhile before starting afresh. I don't see why my sister thinks it's such a big deal that I play this game a lot. I mean, I've played Paper Mario and Ocarina of Time just as much... Maybe I don't space out my runthroughs of this game as much. It does seem like, whereas in OoT I'll wait about a good year between plays, I tend to wait more like half a year in ToS. Haha.... ![]() |

Hell, I'm not sure what endings I got. From what I gather, "Can I trust you?" happens when Kratos likes you more then Zelos does: thus Zelos will fight you and die. "I trust you." happens when Zelos likes you more then Kratos does, thus he'll live. I just realized how badass Regal and Presea are. Presea's axe speaks for it's self, Regal is just awesome.
