Oh yeah, apparently there's going to be an anime version of Abyss this fall. I haven't played the game, but some of you guys have, and I haven't seen anyone discussing it, so...yeah.

It looks like it air regularly, and not just be OVAs like ToS was.

So I'm thinking of picking up a 360 soon since they have a $199 one now. I dunno how much I can get with that, but if it can play games, I'm happy. Our KMart is also the only place in town that has Tales of Vesperia, so I may just use part of my next paycheck to get a 360 and Vesperia.

I hate Nebilim.

So, she's on Normal and was being nice and stupid, only casting spells and not doing melee attacks.

Everyone else was stupid and died, using up all my life bottles, so I ended up doing an Anise solo against her.

I had her down from 30,000 to 9,000 hp with plenty of gels left and everything going fine.

Then... she Stone Dragon Ascent'd me. I knew she was doing an arcane art, so decided to free run away. I totally would've made it, too, just fine.

If the end of the playing field hadn't been EXACTLY where I was planning to run.

Instakill. Laaaame. D:

Also, on another note, if you fight the final boss without Luke or Tear in your party, then whoever you control as first player has deep OMG I WILL KILL U OMGOMG1 conversations with Van between his stages. You'll never guess who I was.

So far Rita is my favorite character. I like hitting people with that whip-thing...

(BTW, I thought it was 'ravaging' tragedy, but ravishing might be it. Anise can be hard to understand. I really like her voice, though)

Has anyone else here gotten Vesperia yet? I'm enjoying the constant references to previous Tales of games...

A thieves' guild with three members called the 'Dark Wings' is often mentioned.

An old man at one of the port towns rants about how his granddaughter fell for Aifread, a no-good pirate.

The ship pilot is called Tokunaga. Not much of a reference, but hell.

There are more. They make me happy.

If you go about twenty-five seconds in the Kratos battle theme from ToS, it's almost exactly the same as the beginning of Eternal Mind from Abyss.

About the coliseum cameo battle (WARNING: THE ACTUAL CAMEO LIST)

It's actually against Dhaos from Phantasia, Shizel from Eternia, Barbatos from Destiny 2, and Kratos of Symphonia fame. And Dhaos Laser doesn't look as impressive as it should since it's supposed to be the most powerful move of all time.
