IGN GTA 4 Review | GTA 4 - Grand Theft Auto IV Unofficial Site I expected this to be one of the reasons I'd want the PS3. __________________ Remember that book store? Though some of their latest RPG efforts are very promising, and perhaps Rare will release something this decade. __________________ Remember that book store? Sony's first and second party studios continue to improve, and as the only company with a strong current gen userbase in Japan, that should bode well for Japanese developers looking for more than just a vehicle to take advantage of Microsoft's current North American userbase lead. I'm not sure what Microsoft's plan is at this time. $50 price drop in 2.5 years doesn't let me know they're in it to win it. __________________ Remember that book store? I know two people who have purchased a PS3 for this reason and one can only anticipate that the demand for this will increase into the future. Microsoft will need to come out with an answer quick. |

That's pretty much the reason why I chose the X-Box 360, since what fun is it to play online where you can't team up with your friends and kick some ass. From what I've heard, PS3's online play really sucks - you have to wait a decent amount of time to get enough people to get a game going. I want to get a PS3 eventually, but it'll be a while. Maybe when the Blu-Ray format becomes more popular and there's more reasonably priced movies ($30-40 for a movie? I'll stick with just the DVD). Back to GTAIV - I can't say I've played enough games to judge whether it's THE BEST, but it's pretty close. From the reviews, I guess the PS3 version does look a tad better graphically, but I'm pretty damn pleased with my 360 version. |

That's like telling a person who likes strategy games they need help for not thinking Halo is better than Starcraft. Ones a fantasy adventure game, the other is a car stealing, free-roaming shooter. They're both completely different. Don't throw people under the bus like that just because they have different tastes. |

That's all I need to know. Of course, they're produced by the same company now, so... yeah. GTA is not my sort of game, but that said, calling it the best game of these 10 years (1998-2008) is rather silly. |

I'm not into shooting games or racing driving games, but something is different about GTA series. Yes, I am playing this one to death at the moment because that's all I really have to play at the moment. Assassin's Creed, all I have to do is kill two guys and I'm done the story. Disgaea 2. A few levels from the end, trying to level my other classes a bit. (Seriously, Adell, Yuki, a Ninja, a Kunoichi, Etna and a Star Mage are all nearly in the L100's, and Rozy AND Tink a few others are only level 5.) Done with most of the FF's okay Twelve does need a bit of work on it. Enchanted Arms is pants and I'll probably never play it again. Blue Dragon is uninteresting Etenal Sonata is great but not much left to do on it. Every of RPG I have is pretty much completed. (Except PB and La Pucelle) GTA gives me something new to think about instead of wondering if I should get a new weapon. The Battle controls aren't hard, and driving is too bad either (Except when the game cheats and spawns a car in a nano-second causing you to crash into it) |
