Sonic Adventure 3.

With gameplay that doesn't suck.

If they deliver this then they will be fully redeemed.

I hope the game comes to PS3 for the best possible 2D graphics. I look forward to it.

^ Shut up, IRHP. Tazy's quite correct. It wasn't a great game, but it was fun and very playable, save the camera and slightly sloppy controls.

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion....

Back on topic though, this seems kind of interesting. It'll probably carry the same Sonic plotline: The heroes have to find the Chaos Emeralds before the villians do, leading up to some overcliched final boss battle.

It'll be nice to see them go back to the old Sonic formula, though.

I have to agree with IRHP. I hated Shadow. I finished it and then proceeded to never play it again.

^Break the Needlemouse, Sonic's grandson, obviously.

^^ I'd bet on Just Sonic personally (Although they may include an option to play as someone else).

I just hope the supporting cast doesn't sit on their thumbs all day to make Sonic look like a better hero.

I'll give you the emerald thing, but I don't really thing of cliche or unoriginality when I think of Sonic villains, other than Eggman/Robotnik, but I think that's used more for comedic reasons, or possibly to just make you hate him.
Maybe both. :/

But really, what do you mean by cliche?
Your statement confuses me a bit.

You probably can't beat Shadow the Hedgehog, IRHP.

I'm just going to wait before I say anything, especially because "2-D" has more than one meaning.

I hope they don't throw away all of the plots that they have built up to as well as all of the characters. Believe it or not when you play the 3D sonic games in order you find the continuity is very strong. The references and flashbacks to previous titles are present as well in the newer games.

^ That is, if you can tell which order each game is in. For that matter, if you can even get through 06 anyway...(I still can't beat Sonic's first stage, but I do suck at games, but damn...)

Nope.

They broke the whole continuity thing to bits.

Shadow the Hedgehog contradicts 90% of SA2. Sonic Rush is contradicted by Sonic 06. Sonic 06 then contradicts itself while the information brought up in Sonic Heroes is thrown away as fast as it's made.

They may as well throw them all away. By now they're an indecipherable, 'Crisis of the Infinite Earths' shadow of their former selves.

A nice way to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Dreamcast. Hope they don't blow this one.
