See, I never understood why people cite Sonic 2 GG as the best Game Gear Sonic. Essentially it's Sonic 1 GG but with better stages and stage gimmicks. Also a rather depressing Bad Ending. And the first time seeing Robotnik saving Sonic.

I just played Sonic 2 GG because it was the most playable GG title my brother had next to Columns. IMO, Tails makes the game better than Sonic 1 GG, as he offers a play style that can compensate for the cramped screen. I'd take the Master System version over that any day, though.

But, uh, Tails wasn't playable in Sonic 2 GG. Just Sonic Chaos and Triple Trouble.

Edit: Well, and the spinoffs.
