^^ And Sonic was also more popular than Mickey Mouse as well. Stop being a fanboy. Sega had its moments too(back then).

Just correcting a grievous misstatement of the facts. Sega was never "the power in video games". They were a power....during the Genesis era. But they were never the power. And I don't point that out as a "fanboy". I point that out as someone who isn't actively trying to revise history.

Except you are a Nintendo fanboy. But fair enough on that though.

Watch as they all buy it anyways, like the boycotts of Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 did in the end.

^The L4D2 boycott didn't peter out, it was officially cancelled after the organizers were allowed to test the game.
Maybe the same could happen here.

And remember, "I'm-a Tails, number one!"

Or maybe these whiny little malcontents could just shut up and take what they're given, and be thankful that Sega is actually trying to give them a halfway decent Sonic game for the first time in 15 years.

Or is actually trying to listen to one of the biggest factions of whiners in the Sonic Fandom? :P (remember...Sonic adventure wasn't considered that bad, neither was Sonic Chronicles despite all the mary-sue-last-of-their-kind-Echidnas foaming at the mouth about Shade)

Maybe I really have slipped unwittingly into an alternate reality. I'm gonna go check my copy of True Grit and make sure John Wayne is still the guy on the DVD cover......
No, actually, both Mario and Sonic were more popular than Mickey Mouse.

Essentially Mickey at the time had nothing going for him, while the Mario vs. Sonic war hyped both sides up, sort of like the Pepsi vs. Coca Cola war.

Also, the whiny malcontents run the Sonic fanbase. It is not surprising they whine about this game. Although this game's music is substandard instrumentation-wise and it is by no means a 'perfect' sequel like some of us imagine, it is not something to boycott.

Sonic 06, on the other hand, should have been protested to its death.

Sonic team can make the absolute best game ever and Sonic Fans will still call it ****.

But they'll buy it anyways, even if they're cutting costs by not bug-testing the game.

Except he's right. Sega's never been able to pull the numbers that Nintendo has. Whether or not he likes Nintendo doesn't really factor into that.
