But the lack of its own topic is kind of...silly. While it did get GOTW a long time ago(because nobody voted for the other one, heh), it really had no conversation other than "eh, it wasn't that great" or "this was one of my favorite games", so why not have a topic where we can discuss it somewhat respectively. And by that, let's try to avoid flaming. |

Quest 2 was planned, but eventually scrapped and then we got Aidyn Chronicles, a semi-spiritual successor, which wasn't nearly as good in some areas. That, or you read about it in the Unseen 64 topic that appeared a long time ago. |

I admit I wasn't actually playing, so maybe I'm out of line, but I think I'm justified in saying it's pretty lousy. |

Of course, if you don't enjoy playing the game, there's nothing wrong with that. |

One funny anecdote: The stat growth is not level based, but it's based on your actions. Get hit more, gain more HP, stuff like that. So, I'd go to a low-level area, get into a fight, and continuously get my self pummeled by a slime or something. I'd switch the TV to watch something else, and switch back to video every now and then to make sure that I didn't die. True story. |

I got Shanjaque(japanese version) with 255 speed. His Defense is barely 20 some, right now. I have to wait for attacks to hit just so I can level up my defense more. It's quite fun. |

Not the first game to do that. Remember in Final Fantasy 2, you could club yourself over the head and get helped a bit more than if you actually killed the enemies? Or in Morrowind and how much easier it became to level up a skill once it was high enough not to miss? I think Brave Fencer Musashi also had something like that, although HP was always at fixed levels. (Walking also gave you something, and I think it was around the same time as Quest 64) Wasn't there a Game Boy game of the same name, or did I imagine it? | |

Quest RPG, Quest Fantasy Challenge, Dragon Quest 1+2, Quest For Glory, etc. It's not an uncommon name. |

He is an annoying guy, if only because it's hard to defense train since the only enemy with multiple projectiles(Marionasty) constantly tried to physical attack you instead... |

That Shannon guy/girl, the one who keeps following you around the world, even figures into it, somehow. Also, I hate how you can only hold one healing item at a time. That was redonkulous. |
