OH HELL YES!!

My mom gave me a tablet and a manga drawing software for Christmas.

The tablet kicks ass. I'm still getting used to the manga software and I'm pretty horrible at it, but practice makes perfect, right?

Sorry if this seems like spamming, but I'm so overflowing with happiness I just had to exclaim how awesomely awesome this gift was.

What kind of tablet is it? I was looking into getting one myself, but I don't want a piece of crap either.

^^ it's by a company called 'genius'. The box says it's a MousePen 8*6; and it's pretty awesome.

^ well, there's just one small problem with that I intend to fix... somehow... because photoshop on my computer is messed up and I can't use it, and the other program I got only saves the files as jpegs (which lose 99% of the quality), and their own special file types, which very few programs can read.

I'll eventually figure out a way to get stuffz up here... anyway, just thought I'd vent my happy excitement through this thread.

Use the Print Screen (prt sc) button to take a screenshot of the pic you're working on, and then paste the image into another art program (like Paint) to save to a different format.

^Thank you! I did it and it worked.

Here's the result; it sprouted from an AIM conversation between Galef and me. We were talking about chocolate milk and I said 'finally, we see eye-to-eye.'

He said 'We'll never see eye-to-eye because I'm, like, 6'4 and you're, like, 4'8.'

I replied, "don't make me pull an Edward Elric on your ass."

Then, I decided to doodle it out for god-knows-what-reason.

At any rate, the only problem with this is that when I start Photoshop, it says something about how my computer is different than it was when I first got it and I need to modify it, but it doesn't work, so I can't use Photoshop.

My computer doesn't have paint.

And the program I used for this came with my tablet as only a 30-day trial thing. I have 27 more days before I run out of options.

Sigh...

Nice. It'd probably take a million hours to do if you just had a mouse =\

Damn.

That is one hell of an awesome drawing. It has a pencil-sketch quality without even being a pencil-sketch, and in a good way. Very nice. KEEP DRAWING MOAR

That's very cool, I'm surprised you did something that caliber with a tablet, especially so soon. Keep it up, and show us some more.

Well, I did another pic- a lineart.

This is a made-up character of mine.

If anyone here has played Tales of Symphonia, the following description will make sense.

She's a Chosen of Mana previous of the game's setting... her wings are green because green is cool, and... yeah.

Do enjoy.

(I really like how every bit of it came out.. EXCEPT the little side clump hair thingies. They look too... CLUMPED. Aside from that, I love how this came out!!

..OoT comic.

Tell me I'm not the only one this has happened to...

(Aside from his arm on the second panel, I like how this came out.)
