| Zelda Join Date: Jun 2000 Location: All over the place Gender: Posts: 12,388 Thanks: 87 Thanked 469 Times in 281 Posts | My VGF-Funded Fanfiction Thing (you guys help me out) Well, ladies and gents, I have decided to partake in that most heinous of activities, which is the witing of fanfiction! In general, I do not enjoy fanfiction. I feel, however, that a combination of factors can contribute to quality fanfiction. I will list them. 1. Pick a character you are familiar with. You need to pick someone who you are at least familiar with and whose actions you could predict. 2. Put this character in a natural situation. That is to say, put the character in a context where their actions might occur naturally, both to you and for the character. It should be easy to imagine what they would do, though you can certainly challenge yourself with complexity. 3. Play to your own strengths. Know what you're good at and construct a narrative that will allow you to display this. 4. Write something that you yourself would want to read. This should require no more explanation. So there we go. These are important rules! This is the idea based on those rules: You take Ganondorf as he is portrayed in Twilight Princess, and you put him different places and situations: I guess you could call it world-hopping, where he goes about and goes into different locales and interacts with different characters. The readers 9that would be you guys) would get a ertain interactive part to play, where you choose where he goes and who he interacts with. Sounds lame so far? Sure? But only because you don't know the title. Ganondorf Beats Up EVERYONE So. There you go. That's pretty much the whole story. The first couple of installments (prologue and chapter 1) are spoken for. After that you guys get to say who you want Ganondorf to beat up. I thought it'd be amusing. Anyway yeah Prologue'll be up sometime soon. Start dropping ideas. I'll do any world or character so long as they 1. are not now nor were at any point alive, and 2. are not religious figures. Prologue: Ganondorf decides to beat up everyone. Chapter 1: Ganondorf beats up Batman, circa All-Star Batman. Chapter 2: Ganondorf beats up Crocomire Chapter 3: Ganondorf beats up Tidus and Yuna during the Laughing Scene Chapter 4: Ganondorf beats up Zelos from Tales of Symphonia Chapter 5: Ganondorf beats up Shadow the Hedgehog Chapter 6: Ganondorf beats up Kratos, the God of War Chapter 7 onwards: you guys decide Just a fun little project....let's get it going. How To Get Someone Beat Up By Ganondorf These are some easy guidelines to follow. Step 1: Choose who should be beaten up, and say so. I will have Ganondorf beat up anyone from anywhere. Any game, book, comic, movie, anime, cartoon, TV show, whatever. Just any form of media you want. Warning: Do not name anyone unless you want them to get beaten up, because that is what will happen! Do not say "Phoenix Wright" unless you want Phoenix Wright to tote an ass-whoopin'! This is not limited to one person. Chapter 1 has him beating up Batman, but yes, if you demand it, I will have Ganondorf kick the asses of the entire Justice League. Step 2 (optional): Gimme an idea of how it should go down! By this I mean you can lemme know when and where you want it to happen (ex: when Batman is about to beat up Superman). You also have four options for the kind of beating this person carries, which goes 1. Comedically one-sided, 2. Serious ass-whoopin', 3. Extremely close, or 4. Creative problem-solving! Step 3: Get someone to agree with you! Once an idea is supported by a couple people, it will be added to the queue in the order that it came into popularity. Step 4: Enjoy the ass-whooping! That sure is easy. Everyone should do it. Speaking seriously, guys, I might put this up on fanfiction.net and see how berserk everyone goes. Or doesn't go. Look I'll post the comments here. If it is necessary, I shall provide you with an emulator and save state as an example of the Crocomire's majesty. Or at least a video. Crocmire battle starts at 13:50 alternatively... Just mute out the crappy Linkin Park music. The Crocomire's at about 2:30 through the video. Last edited by Cosmonautical; 02-05-2008 at 07:13 PM. | ||||

AI: I've played Super Metroid so, you know. I know who you mean. What's your reason there, though? Crocomire in particular. | |

The Crocomire (just realized I was missing the second O) is pure awesome. I do not have any particular explanation, but I love the damn thing. Especially the sounds it makes, and the way it gives you a heart attack the first time it bursts through the wall at you. 2. It cannot be killed by conventional means of attack. It will be interesting to read how Ganondorf battles it. I would assume he'd try to attack it as any regular foe at first, only to discover it completely impervious externally to his attacks. 3. It's from Super Metroid, my favorite videogame and setting of all time. |

Looks like if we don't want this to go all Gooey Kablooie, I better add in some guidelines. Check the first post in a few minutes! And done! Last edited by Wyborn; 02-05-2008 at 07:36 PM. I don't want him to get owned, but I find this interesting and exciting. Also, this fight would require a #4 situation (Creative problem-solving! ), considering he has all those awesome Chaos moves and his "friends" intervene (where Gannondorf gives them a "#1" treatment).Oh yes, the location. How about Station Square, where as a result of the battle, it gets utterly annihilated! That's all. ![]() |

He must beat on Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes. Battle would probably take place in the parking lot of Travis' motel...Now, how should it end? Hmm, maybe Travis getting ripped in half by Ganondorf's sword. |

You can interpret how the Crocomire behaves or how intelligent it actually is however you want. I kind of like the idea of Ganon fighting some monstrous thing that he had no intention of fighting, it would put him in a place that we've never seen him as a character. The type of place where fanfiction thrives, in that sense. |

I've never actually played FFX, and am thus unfamiliar with Tidus' abilities; all I know is that he looks like Meg Ryan, and he sounds like a real fanny blossom in the aforementioned Goddamn Laughing Scene. |
