I like the first one a lot, you've got a pretty good sense of humor and your drawings aren't cluttered. Squid man brings to mind Davey Jones from the Pirates movies. You've got a decent eye for proportions, too.

The sketchy line thing plagues every beginner artist - the easiest way to do solid, straight lines is to practice moving your whole arm rather than just your hand. Straight, long lines come from the elbow, not from the wrist.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I need to practice drawing straight lines.

Since you requested it, here's more stuff.

Ganon

This one's about a year old, but I still like it, except that proportions are a little weird on Peter...

If This Be My Destiny...

King Bowser

Back in January, I did a little project called the Month of Mario, in which I chronicled Mario's history, focusing on a different console each week. Although for some reason, that link has the pictures out of order.

Eggman...or Robotnik? Beats me, he's still my favorite Sonic character, though. I think I should've made him fatter. And his arm's a bit wacky, too.

The line cleanup on this is pretty bad in this drawing of my second favorite Mario bro.

I get that a lot. I've tried a more serious style before, but it came off still looking "cute."

To draw, I use copier paper and a cheap mechanical pencil. For cleaning up and coloring, I use Paint.NET, which can be downloaded for free at...Paint.NET.

Any fans of Wario Land 4 in here?

That's the Princess Shokora that appears in the best ending. She was hard to draw due to a lack of reference material. The colors and background are taken straight from screenshots.

Yes, I know, I suck at drawing Wario.

Never got the chance to play it. I hope you'll clean up the lines more, in the future, because the color is pretty nice.

Thanks. I do indeed need more practice with line cleanup. And you should play WL4. It's awesome, but a bit short.

Darker lines? What do you mean? And I'm very glad that you think my coloring is good. I've never considered it to be a strong point of mine.
