NOW IN FABULOUS TECHNICOLOUR! I've got a few pictures I've made in the past couple weeks, all of which were inked and colored in Photoshop. Normally I have a real trouble with Photoshop, but recently I've been getting the hang of it pretty good. Take a look at what I've got and let me know what I can improve on. Leche Libre FREE MILK! Just a weird idea I had once, decided to go along with it. My first real colored image, and I'm plenty proud of it. Juego Florero A bit more artistic than my last one... I'm quite proud of this. It took a while to get the clothing and the style of the skulls right, but I think it turned out fabulously. I Like Asian Girls Don't worry, not pornographic. I decided to step away from the Latin/Hispanic theme and move to another favorite subject of mine: Asian women. |

They sell a re-release of the game in a DVD case here, so I picked it up last year. Apparently the retro PC market is much more viable here than the US. We even get lots of ports of console games to PC that I don't think the US gets too many of. Got a copy of Chaos Legion by Capcom, ie. That's a pretty slick picture, Val. I like your style. As a tip: Try to avoid using the really large brushes for shading/highlights. If you just do your highlights on a new layer and turn down the opacity, I'm sure using a smaller brush will give it a nice organic look (if you've got the patience to do the manual distribution rather than the whole turn-down the hardness dealie). Always try using a brighter color to highlight with instead of just white, it pays off if you're the one choosing what it lightens to. You can always mess with the hue and brightness of the highlight colors afterwards, if you put them on seperate layers. I like the vein details and so on in the highlights, especially. It's neat, though, since it's been over a month since my last calavera drawing (Juego Florero), and just recently as an assignment for my Spanish 2 class we were to create some sort of calavera artwork for Dia de los Muertos. I figured I'd do something new and more suited to the specifics of the project. |
