The idea is to create a single, complete 24-page comic story in 24 scant hours. The local art museum was hosting a 24-hour comics day event in which cartoonists were invited to use their studios and facilities whilst they drew. I was amongst those who went. However, I had to do the 8 hour, 8 pages version instead, due to being a minor. It was a good time, though, sitting and drawing for 8 hours straight without feeling like a loser. My 8 pages of madness will be in the museum with all the other challengers for a week, and I'll get them back after that. I may be able to get them up here by then. |

I think it probably has more to do with the comic book/graphic novel format than newspaper comics, which rarely if ever contain any prolonged plot. |
