Antony Chekov was probably a sleeper hit with me. Although I wouldn't exactly think he'd "Suck", more or less be just another short-story author who wouldn't stand out to me that much. Personally my favourite story is "The woman with the pet dog". There's a very good reason why he's often called "The father of the short story". ![]() Another one was "Merchant of Venice" and "Othello". I really don't like shakespeare and thought that Romeo and Juliet really wanted to make he cut myself. But I quite liked the mundane-oh-****-i'm-in-a-predicament in Merchant of Venice but the best part of Othello was the characterization of Iago. IMO he was probably what inspired Kreia in STar Wars: KOTOR 2. And really, Iago is the main character of that play, not Othello. Othello's kind of a plot tool if you think about it. I never really found him interesting cept that he was more of a "WTF she LIED to me she must DIE! oh **** I must die too. x_X"-type play character. I liked Iago's wife's character though. And many people whov'e played Iago on plays are pretty good actors. Kudos to you playing Iago, especially the person who played it in a local community theatre performance of Othello. He REALLY did it well, practically changing his voice so something a little more sinister and full of spite, it's just as I imagined it while reading the playscript. The weirdest one is "The Secret Life of Bees". It was actually readable, though certainly not as enjoyable as Othello or Chekov's work were. I didn't really expect that much from it and it actually felt rather interesting to read and imagine what was happening. Least they didn't put the "zomg females are good men drool!". I think it's the whole "Discovering the past" that I like about these kinds of books and stories . |

I damn near chucked it but then I got addicted, reading multiple chapters at a time. Now I wanna hunt down the sequels. Movies I think suck almost always do. I thought Zelda and Final Fantasy sucked ass at one point. I accidentally played the crappiest of the series first but then got sucked in by LttP and, I think, FF4. |

My favorite play is The Good Doctor...which isn't one of his plays, but it IS based on his short stories. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Othe than just "Lady with the pet dog", since I already have that in my old Study of Literature textbook. Oh yeah, sleeper hits. Usually I don't have that many games that are sleeper hits cause I usually just buy a game that I want and already know a little about beforehand. That way I don't wind up wasting any money. I'd probably have to say Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Colour if anything. Movies...hmm obviously "Stranger than Fiction", and Inuyasha the 2nd movie. |

I can't think of any movies or video games that fall into this catigory for me. - You stupid dog! |
