15 weeks of hard work has led me to this....

For my Computer Animation IV class at college, I had to create a short 3D film in Autodesk Maya. I had 15 weeks (which was pretty much the whole semester) to come up with a story, model a character and a room, create a rig for the character (God I hate rigging), animate the character, render it out, and edit it in After Effects.

It's supposed to be a humorous story about a chef who can't cook, but the final joke really isn't that good (I guess that's what I get for listening to my professor's suggestions). I figure, 15 after weeks of hard work on an animated short, I might as well show the fine folks here at VGF what the hell I've been up to.

Pretty good Auron. There's not too much animation going on, but what animation there is is much better than what I can do. Good job!

I'm somewhat disappointed with the general lack of comments/criticism.

o hi just saaw this thread lol

Really, the only thing I can say is that the animation is a bit too slow, which actually gives a bit of a bland feeling. Speed up the animation a bit, see what you can pull off.

Your professor suggested Chuck Norris? what a dork

The animation was good, and it was a bit slow, like the others said. But overall, great.

Damn it, how did I miss this thread?

Looks pretty cool, I like the idea for the story. The animation seemed pretty smooth and I couldn't really notice any problems (unnatural movement, objects passing through each other, etc.). In interested in seeing where you go with this or what your next project/assignment is. I've always been interested in animation, although I've never gotten a chance to work with 3D.

Keep up the good work.

That was actually very good for a student project by one person. Keep it in your portfolio for when you graduate definitely.
