I know its not great but I only show you these things, actually this is the first, because I actually do drawings and writing and stuff during year and I'll type up what I have from another story I'm working on soon. I don't know if you'll find it sad or not but its a war story so this is nothing to how bad it gets once I find and type or just rewrite the story. Just fair warning cause I had a friend not like it because it was sad. Which in my opinion its not. And yes to save the few people who will point it out. It sucks. Prologue The man tenderly kissed the woman on the cheek. The woman started to sob uncontrollably. “Please do not cry on my behalf. I swear I’ll come back to you. So please stop.” He touched her shoulder as he said these words. “Come now, I’m not even near the battle field. So there is absolutely nothing to be crying about.” He lifted her chin up a little so she looked up into his green eyes. “I’ll try not to but this has already taken to many lives. And I’m afraid it’ll take yours to.” She whispered, trying not to sob. They had only been married several years and she still loved him very much. “I’ll be careful Mary. You know I will.” His tone was reassuring but she felt uneasy anyways. She knew he wasn’t telling her everything. “I know you will but what about your squad mates. If one of them makes a mistake you could all end up dead. I don’t know whether I could, could…”she started to cry again. “We have more than each other to think about. “She looked down to her bulging belly. “Look I know about the baby and if I had a choice I would stay with you. But I’m defending our land to keep them safe.” You could hear the unmistakable pride in his voice. “But what can one man do? Why won’t you stay?” the longing in her voice was tremendous. “Look I know you want me to stay but I’m going and that’s that!” he didn’t mean to sound hurtful. It just came out that way. The woman named Mary burst into loud tears. “I’m sorry it’s just that I love you so much and that’s why I’m going to protect you and our baby.” He reached forward and touched her belly. Seeing the time on his watch. “Shoot I’m almost out of time.” He looked into her gorgeous hazel eyes. “Go.” Was all she said. It was so quiet it was almost inaudible, but he understood. “Look I love you both, and I swear to come back.” He said it just like It was, a promise. And with one brief gaze he was off to war. She waited for months for him to return. They sent letters back and forth the entire time. Then the baby came, or should I say babies. They were twins named Machala and Kyle, a boy and a girl. The doctor was at a loss for the eye color. Machala had a brilliant gold, while Kyle had a blue as deep as the ocean. Then all was back to normal. Till his final letter came. It read as following. Dear Mary, I know you may not like this but I was drafted for a special assignment. We are to infiltrate an enemy base. There is only a small number in my platoon. I am one of the lucky five to go. I was chosen for my use of protective spells and transmutation. We are leaving tonight. If all goes well I’ll be out by next week. This is to be my final letter until the mission at hand is done. How are you and the kids? Well I hope. When we succeed I’ll finally be able to meet them. Love, David V. Penferril She should have been extremely worried, but he had made it seem as if it were a walk in the park. Now she read it at every possible moment. Witch wasn’t very often. After several days she received word from the Naowale Military. A man dressed in a black suit walked up to her door and rang it twice. She thought it was her husband. And was disappointed to see him at the door. “Mam, your husband Mr. Penferril was K. I. A. during a special assignment for the government.” His voice was steady and unwavering. As if he didn’t care. This isn’t what she wanted to hear. She burst into tears. “Miss, my master requests you join him for a meeting.” She tried to answer. It took her a while. “Can I bring the children?” “Oh, yes of course.” He led her and the children out to a black limo. “Please get in the car.” She complied and in her grief had no idea where they were going. When they stopped she got out and went inside still confounded. “Oh, good you got her to bring the brats.” That was the last thing she ever heard. The man snapped his fingers and the men stripped her of her life and her children in seconds. From outside the building a pair of green eyes shone with anger. |
