Favorite Comic Book series, and graphic novels?

What are your favorite comic book series and/or graphic novels?

Mine

Batman: Hush
Batman: the Dark Knight Returns
Batman: Under the Hood

As you can see, I've been having a Batman reading-streak lately.

Dark Knight Returns is good, but I wouldn't necessarily put it in my favorites.

Love Hush though. Probably my favorite storyline. Either that or Year One (a much more superior Miller Batman storyline) I really need to read The Long Halloween though.

I can'treally say for sure what my favs are (mostly cause I haven't read very many graphic novels), but I'd label Secret War as pretty good.

Keep in mind that I don't mean the famous Marvel Secret Wars, but that I mean Secret War.

I love Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's run on The Amazing Spider-Man (1962-1966). It's just such a fun read.
I'm also a big fan of Deadpool with Joe Kelly doing the writing duties back in the late 90s. Gail Simone's stuff near the end of the series was fantastic, too.
I'm currently going through Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I'm talking about the dark, gritty, "parody of Daredevil" TMNT.

Its kiddy, but Marvel Adventures manages to be something that comic books have not been for the past two decades.
Fun

Killing Joke's really good too. In fact, I haven't really read any graphic novels besides Batman ones. Unless you count Avengers Disassembled, House of M, Civil War, Secret War, 52, Countdown, etc.

But I do have Spider-Man: Blue, Daredevil: Yellow, and Hulk: Grey. Yes I do quite enjoy the works of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.

Batman's basically my favorite, besides Spiderman and Green Lantern. ^And Jeph Loeb seems to be a good enough writer, when he's not writing for a gimmick story like the Red HULK series. He did write Batman: Hush, after all.

I also like Marvel Adventures because they don't make a crapton of tie-ins for you to spend your money on as well. I remember Civil War. That **** was ridiculous.

Reading all the Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale graphic novels.

Order so far:
Batman: The Long Halloween
Batman: Dark Victory
Spider-Man: Blue
Catwoman: When In Rome

reading Daredevil: Yellow right now and it's probably my favorite after The Long Halloween. Next up I have Hulk: Gray and then Challengers of the Unknown.

Can't seem to find Superman for All Seasons or the Batman Halloween specials, but my dad probably has them.

The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are my two absolute favorite Batman stories simply because they're murder mysteries at heart, and I love Detective Batman as much as I love Superhero Batman.

Year One is also great, along with good old Killing Joke. I also really love the Spiderman storyline Kraven's Last Hunt, but I have Wyborn to thank for introducing me to that.

I'm really enjoying the Green Lantern story that's going on right now in the DC world with the multiple rings. Especially the black rings. I really hope Batman gets to be raised from the dead as a killing machine.

Why do you want Batman to become a murderer? Isn't he already bad-ass enough without being a caped Ted Bundy?

Batman: Arkham Asylum is my all time favorite, Next to that I'm pretty traditional with Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, Sandman, and Fables.

I recently read Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth while I was listening to Thom Yorke on top of some folded up bleachers in a college gym in Nashville. For some reason those elements, combined together, were perfect, so reading it was a really great experience. I'd gladly add it to my list.
