But to all the (aspiring) authors of VGF: do you belong to a writer's/critique group? Do you have a network of support for your writing? Do you have a writing mentor or coach? Honestly, I've never found a group I can connect with. Sometimes it seems like I have more in common with the mindset of agents and editors than I do with other writers. XD No doubt I've just been looking in the wrong places/not found my scene yet/haven't been trying hard enough/am too picky. |

When I write it's usually something I do alone, with little input from people in the beginning. I've posted some things on websites for critique, though. I'm a solitary person. So is my writing. ![]() |

But we are working on something great though, it's hush hush but i asure you you'll like it if it ever comes out. |

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I've never really enjoyed writing as part of a group, usually because there is a distinct lack of interest in my works. *sad face* __________________ |

One person might like your work, another be bored silly by it, another think it's contrite, etc. I wouldn't be terribly opposed to a ragtag group here, though. Half of my work seriously wouldn't fit any VGFers taste. XD We can have tea, and give |

Like I just said to SD, in person: Amateur writer's groups have a way of criticising the story being told and the author's stylistic choices, not the flaws in the story or the way the characters have been presented. You need to stay open-minded to the tastes of other people if you want them to be at all receptive to your suggestions. |

I'm currently writing a Fan-Fiction called Legacy, about Link after Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. |
