Because I just get this feeling every time Luke fails at a puzzle that his SOUL HAS JUST BEEN DESTROYED AND HIS LIFE IS NO LONGER WORTH LIVING.

^^ I've done a lot of practice since I last uploaded stuff. Mostly because I've been drawing constantly in the meantime, but really only sketches, nothing completed that I felt merited being shown off. Meaning that my drawing skills were being constantly improved upon but I never actually got around to doing a full piece, so when I finally did, a huge improvement has been made.

Or so I like to think. At any rate, thank you! :{D

That's probably because ~~nobody cares about Flora or notices when she gets kidnapped~~ she only solves puzzles in one game.

Luke has 3 games full of epic facepalm. x{D

Honestly, the reactions of EVERYONE are great. It's like I FAILED TO SOLVE A PUZZLE, MY PRIDE SHE IS FORFEIT

It's nice to hear that there is visible improvement here. I thought I had improved but that doesn't mean much because I'm pretty sure artists convince themselves they've improved all the time even when they really haven't. So yay!

^ I have this weird complex where I think something is MY BEST WORK EVER and I am super proud and I think I've come a super long way and then after an hour of showing it off I suddenly think it is the world's greatest abomination. So... 0_o

And I use a software called Manga Studio. It has a lot of cool stuff [much more than I use because I haven't discovered/screwed around with everything it has to offer yet] and is fun to work with.

Yeah.

I think it has to do with the fact that before you post it, that awareness of publication hasn't kicked in, so you can praise it all you want because no one's judging you.

CL, your colors are really strong in this one. I'm liking it and the composition quite a bit.

It's not the picture getting worse. It's you getting better. You're developing your talents all the time, even when you don't think you're working on it. Just because you know you can do better now shouldn't hurt your image of the satisfaction of your work. Keep a snapshot of that in your head.

As a general rule, CL, I think you'd achieve more with the hair if you don't do the brighter strand detail unless it's occupying a highlight zone on the hair. Think of it as a fill for brighter lights, like you would a solid highlight area anywhere else.
