Probably. And either way, I never rest with the pedal in down position, although I do play in an unconventional heel-down position. I won't have to worry about it messing up if it does.

I play heel-down, too. The guy I saw actually kept his entire foot elevated except when stepping on the beats.

Just got this game today... IT IS SO FRICKIN' FUN.

My eldest sister always does the vocals (because me and my other sister can NOT sing, and she can rather well). I'm pretty kickass at drums, and she's good at guitar.

This game is flippin' AWESOME.

Well, turns out I can sing the ones that I know pretty well, and the ones that I don't very poorly. (I can usually survive them in Medium, but I imagine it isn't always pleasant.) Fortunately a few of my friends are good singers, so it works out. Plus I can shred all the guitar parts if necessary.

So the PS2 version is coming out. Any idea on how the four things connect? I hear it's through USB and there's supposed to be a HUB packaged with it.

As long as we can easily get four players connected, I can see the four of us playing. I call lead guitar!

I'm interested in playing this game, but not so interested in buying a pile of peripherals. Is it possible to play the guitar parts with a standard controller, the way you can in GH, or are the instruments actually mandatory?

I feel like you probably could play guitar and drums with a standard controller, but not sing. I don't know for a fact though.

^He's right. As well, what version are you buying? There are things unique to each system version regarding peripherals. It is, however, more fun with said instruments, and I imagine the drums would be sort of difficult with a standard controller.

On another note, this is a damned fun game. I originally thought I'd be sticking to drums, but I seem to have some skill on the bass and can sing my way through songs I know extremely well. By the by, I seriously hope expert mode on the drums kills all of those damned drummer jokes. You'll appreciate us a lot more after that, trust me.

If I bought it, it'd most likely be for 360. Hey, there's a thought--maybe I could sing using the XBL headset as a mike. ^^Damn, you can sing Expert? I could barely survive it on Reptilia, as easy as that is, and even my singer friend could barely do Learn to Fly, which he gets like 97% on when he does Hard. I can generally survive Hard vocals, but I don't sing much.

I can usually do drums on Hard, although sometimes the bass pedal gives me too much trouble. I can play any guitar/bass on Expert though. (I even made it through Green Grass and High Tides... barely. I think I could play it much better now that I've seen it though.)
