Is it impossible to use a guitarpick on GH3

I just bought GH3 for my PS2. I play with a pick, and when I try to strum fast up and down, it doesnt work. Anyone else got this problem?

HEELP!!

You're using the strum bar with a pick? You're supposed to just push or pull the strum bar. It's Guitar Hero, it's not supposed to use a pick.....

I play GH1 and GH2 with a pick, and I want to keep playing that way, thats the way I play!!

Eh? An actual pick? How do you even do that with the Gibson SG model? Anyway, the thing you're supposed to do is hold the strum bar like a pick. Of course, I use the thumb strum since it's still not an actual guitar, but...

I strum the strumbar with a pick, is that so weird? strum, strumbar...??? Anyway, i didnt ask if i played the game different, but if anyone else got the same problem, and maybe had a solution to my problem.

Hey, he's only trying to further emulate the guitar experience; don't rag him on that.

Anyways, I find the timings a bit different for GH3; maybe because the notes are smaller or whatever. Maybe you're just not hitting the notes at the right time?

use a heavyer pick I guess??? But i would try it the way it was suppose to be played.

I hit the notes, but on the fast parts, its like it doesn t register my hits...hmm...i played through medium, but i cant just strum down on the fast parts on hard.

Hmm..but Ive allways played guitar and GH with a pick..guess i have to start on easy and learn to play the boring way..it may become fun when i master it

Eh, play however you want. It's not a job.

Unless it is your job, in which case, where are you working? Does it have good employee benefits? Is it a long commute, or close to where you live?

I solved the problem. I adjusted the lag adjustment to 50, and now I ROCK on hard with my pick again : (getit?? haha)

Yes, it is!

And it's kinda cheap to have the lag set all the way to 50. But, if you don't plan on competing with anybody, it's fine, I guess.
