Rumored Guitar Hero: World Tour Tracklist

Rumor: Guitar Hero World Tour full set list - Joystiq

I have my doubts. I lol'd at Sting Guitar Battle, which was my main reason to think fake list. (Yes, I know that Sting does actually play Guitar) I'll give my complete thoughts on the tracklist later.

I'd have to agree with you that there's a few things on there that make me think it's fake (Read: Sting guitar battle), it seems legit in most places.

Assuming this is true, it's awesome merely because they put a Chuck Berry song on there.

Also, Angel of Death, MoP, Spirit of Radio (Although drumming on that song will be impossible), Comfortably Numb, the whole Ozzy/Sabbath/Dio tour are awesome.

Before that though, most of the stuff is hit or miss. There's some good (Neva' Forget tour seems promising, along with the Tool tour),but the rest seems passable.

Here are a list of things that make me think it's fake:

1. The fact that SO MANY MAJOR SONGS have been included in it (ie. Crazy Train, Dont Fear the Reaper, Every Breath You Take, etc.) that would just make it more expensive for the developers. (Although I am hoping for Crazy Train. To add on, Every Breath You Take hardly even has drums. Another song by The Police, Don't Stand So Close to Me, might have made it more convincing.)

2. Every single song that was rumored (and not confirmed) before has been included on that list. I seriously doubt that will happen.

3. An entire level based on one band would not appear in a game unless the game was based on that band like Guitar Hero Aerosmith. No matter how much people love Tool, that won't happen.

4. The two confirmed Jimi Hendrix songs are in the same level. What will most likely happen is that one will be on the main setlist and the other will be downloadable content.

5. BONUS TOUR? Why have bonus songs, downloadable content has already been confirmed for all systems.

6. The Sting Guitar Battle. First off, Sting is a bass player. Secondly, his Guitar Battle was put at the BEGINNING of a level that wasn't even the same one with Every Breath You Take, which I already said won't be on the game. I doubt they'll even have "Guitar" Battles anymore.

I'll probably think of more later.

If this really is the setlist (I have my doubts), then I'll be happy that Dream Theater is finally making some progress towards getting into more of these games.

1. More and more bands actually want to be included. Guitar Hero is huge. Huge enough to get the Sex Pistols to go back into the studio.

2. There has been one major rumor for Guitar Hero and that's the one with Tool and the playable characters. So far, that is becoming more and more true.

3. It's possible. The Tool rumor was in a rumor that said Jimi Hendrix, Hayley Williams, and other people were in the game. Next thing you know, Jimi Hendrix and Hayley Williams are confirmed by Harmonix. The rumor also contained Ted Nugent, who confirmed it himself I guess.

4. Yes, confirmation that two songs will be in the game itself and other songs by Hendrix being DLC means that only one song will be in the actual game.

5. I KNO Y WUD U PUT MORE SONGS IN

6. No argument.

Activision and RedOctane have announced whether this list is fake:

I knew it.

We all knew it was 90% likely that it was fake. I just replied to your post like that because some of those arguments weren't very good. Like the bonus tracks part.

And another sign of fake was "QQ Tour"

Really, only somebody on the internet would call 30 Seconds to Mars and My Chemical Romance thing a "QQ tour"

Looking back, I know some of them weren't that great. It was nighttime then, though, and I hadn't had my ice cream.

(Despite a couple of choices) that would have been a good list to play, but it just couldn't be. There was something about it that was just sort of...fake. And I was the one who found proof, and that's the best argument I can think of.
