Guitar Hero IV

Whoops, I mean Guitar Hero World Tour. Since, you know, it isn't possible to mix it up with another game.

Anyway, I'm pretty surprised by how much is being put into this game. While the different instruments is just screaming Rock Band ripoff, the ability to create your own songs seems pretty interesting. It's as if they want players to put Through the Fire and Flames to shame as well as create tons of video game remixes. Woo!

Oh, and apparently all songs are going to be master recordings. Bah, am I the only one who thought the covers were actually pretty good?

1. The covers were okay. There were some really good. Some were terrible. One of them that screams "terrible" to me was Heart-Shaped Box in II. Sounded like a country song.

2. I'm kind of excited about the drums with cymbals. Hopefully Travis Barker, Chad Smith, and Stewart Copeland aren't lying about the drums being good.

3. I'd rather have over 10 other LedZep songs before Stairway.

Double post, but:

Billy Corgan Boss Battle in GH:World Tour? : Console Hero

Though I don't think that looks exactly like Billy Corgan.

Wouldn't it suck if you had to do the vocals for Mauvais Garcon from GH3? I hope they don't put that in or a song similar to it. I took seven years of french but it's still not my first language.

Crazy Train and Hotel California. If Stairway shows up it'll be Fan Service: The Video Game.

My first impressions from a demo at Walmart.

Drums: Foo Fighters - Everlong on Medium. I had a lil' bit of trouble with it because of the new style, but I started to get the hang of it later on in the song. I prefer them to Rock Band's. Didn't get to use the bass pedal though...

Guitar: Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way on Expert. It's a very simple riff for most of it. I had no problem beating it. I got comments from employees on how I was pretty good for somebody who hasn't played the game yet. I messed up because they expected me to talk in return.

Guitar: Sublime - Santeria on Expert. It's not the most challenging song, but it was a really fun chart. Beat it easily, then I had to go.

Fun from what I played, they didn't have mic, and I didn't test out any bass songs.

I got it for Christmas and I have been playing it non-stop.

It was just the game on it's own without any of the new instruments, including the drums (however, I don't necessarily care about playing drums in a game called Guitar Hero).
