Unless the whole thing is centered around fencing and it's like "Quest To Be The Greatest Swordfighter!" where the focus is how good you are at swordplay. Trying to write a good sword fight is a bit of a weakness for me... |

You may want to consider renaming the forum something simpler, (I.E. Role Playing Forum) and putting Gunjin in parenthesis next to it. Only reason being that, if a person is looking for a site like this, it would help if it were easier to find. Not many people enter 'Gunjin' into a search engine. Besides, I myself only came here based on referral; I would never have found it otherwise. Just a thought. |

I'd suggest Nintendoland Battlefield, since that's what it was called when it was made, when it evolved from a single topic on Nintendoland main to this. |

Nonetheless, the point remains that a more obvious name would help in bringing more active members. I seriously doubt that anyone would object to stealing the name, or closing the other forum entirely for that matter. It has been many months since anyone posted there. |

Seriously. The RP forum NEEDS to be merged with this. and the name needs to be changed to something else more notable. Like "Gunjin Battlefield - Roleplaying" (Not just to "roleplaying" forum as honestly "Gunjin" is its own individual beast and the name does attract at least some attention, but only if the people know that it is for RPs) Most people see the RP forum when they forget what the rp/battle forum that they were referred to's name was and they just see "Roleplay" then they just get up and leave because of how dead it is. The only activity the other RP forum gets is in Mafia which honestly could survive as its own thing. There is NO point in having two forums with the same purpose. They completely detract from each other. Guests are lost have no idea what exactly is what. It's spreading the activity WAY too thin for there to be any new blood. Gale, when you said you advertised this forum back when you first became mod, what methods did you employ? Where did you advertise, etc.? Because there are at least one or two of us who have spare time and could possibly attempt the same thing. |

Some of them stuck around, mainly Trickster, who still pops in on occasion. I also hit up a few chat rooms... Anywhere'd be good. But as I'm sure you're aware, outright advertising tends to be frowned upon in rival forums... I'd recommend making some friends and popping them a friendly invite, since that was how I got a couple of people to join up and participate (Bryan, my buddy Abel Cain, and a few of the KAFers I was less needlessly hostile towards). |
