1-Up Salesman!

I'm calling you out, son. Here are the rules:

Minor healing is OK.
No Interference.
Posts must be 2-3 paragraphs long.

I'll be using Nightshade.

The Battlefield will be The Spire.

I'll be using my newest character, Hyper the Hedgehog. Basicly, think of him as Sonic with a punk look. He has green fur, a scar on his right eye, and wears a black jacket. He can do anything that Sonic can do like spin-dashes.
For weapons, he always has something like knives or a crowbar./

Hyper stood at the first floor of the legendary Spire. Before him was a table with a burned out candel,and then a flight of stairs. It was told that whoever got to the top of the tower would recieve a prize far greater than anything in the universe. And he was here to get it. He didn't care whatever challenges there were, he was going to make it to the top.

He walked toward the stairs, laughing at the sight of the dead man in the corner of the room. "Heh, what the $#!$ could kill him here?" he said as he was about to proceed. As he laughed, a chair lifted up into the air by itself
and crashed into Hyper's back. Hyper fell over.

"...heh, that was unexpected."
A knife flew through the air straight at Hyper's head. Hyper ducked just in time and watched as the knife went into the wall. He turned around to see man dressed in dark clothing.

"You're gonna wish that you weren't born," said Hyper as he pulled a crowbar out of his jacket.

Nightshade slowly walked into the Spire, crowbar tightly hidden in his trench-coat. He couldn't wait to show his opponent a thing or to about what REAL fighting is. As he slowly opened the door, he walked into the dark castle-like structure. He had heard rumors about valuable treasure being on the top floor, but that was quickly shrugged off by the trench-coated warrior. He couldn't care less about the treasure, he just wanted to fight.

Nightshade walked up the stairs, looking around now and then to see what was there. He noticed the skeleton of a warrior who had most likely tried to get the treasure and failed. Finally, he saw his opponent.

His opponent was a small hedgehog with green fur and a black jacket. Another thing Nightshade noticed about his opponent was that he had a scar on his right eye, probably from past battles. "Man, what is it with Gunjin and hedgehogs?" Nightshade wondered to himself, as he had seen many hedgehogs lately.

Nightshade took out his crowbar and prepared for battle.

Hyper heard footsteps and turned around to see his opponent, Nightshade.
Nightshade held a crowbar in his hands, ready for battle.
"So, I would guess you're here for the treasure," said Hyper.
"Well too bad. I'm getting that treasure, and I'm not letting anyone stay in my way."

Hyper pulled a knife out of his jacket, and tossed it up in the air, grabbing it every time it went down.
Hyper threw the knife, but Nightshade dodged by sidestepping to the left.
The knife went straight into the wall.
Nightshade ran forward and swung the crowbar into Hyper's face, sending him back. Hyper got right back up and grabbed another knife. He swung it, striking Nightshade.
