Tournament Sign up Sheet

Okay, after a good year without a tournament (I'm not sure when they'll do the Nintendo land Battlefield Tournament, if at all this year), I have decided to set up an eight person tournament. This means four matches, four winners, and a good clean four fights. There are at least twelve or so of us here, so I'd like twelve people to join (Eight combatants, four judges) and do their jobs. I'll accept anyone for the Tourney, as long as you know that you have to have high caliber posts and such, but the people that could join other than me that I'd really like to see are:

Selene. You have a nice track record, and I think you'd do very well against most of us. I guarantee, if you don't take a judges seat, you'll make it to the Semis.

Repster. I'd like to see a good fight with you in it, be it versus me, or someone else. You seem to be improved since your questionable performance in the 7'th annual tournament, so lets see you flex your muscles again.

Joker. Since I've never seen you officially fight, and if you have the time, please join this battle.

Galen. I see you around from time to time, and you are quite skilled after all. I started a battle with you that Computer troubles made me unable to finish, so a good tournament inclusion could give me the chance to fight you for real.

SML or LTS. I never see either of you around anymore, but if you happen to see this or have the time, please consider joining.

Alex. Despite your (Excuse me saying) awful performance two years ago, I guarantee you have probably improved enough to fight. I hope to see your skills in a fight like this.

9-Volt. I am sure that you are past your days of shoddy talent, just as I am, and you should test this out in this tournament.

Megaton. You are indeed skillful, and a good candidate for tournament combatant.

Scarred Wings: You seem intent on being a great battler. A tournament could prove your skill.

Sabrilocke: It would appear that though you supposedly left, you’re still around. Consider joining this tournament.

Inferno Dragon: You are around quite often, so you could be a good addition.

Luigi007, Prince Zack, Judas Iscariot, Vapor, any of you would be appreciated. Also among the few I forgot to invite are: Zora, Serenade, Alucard(I think he left), Darth Butcher, Demonoid, Erdawn, or Wyborn. (Erdawn and Wyborn are gone, but I still see 'em around sometimes. I would hope that if they see or read this, they would join.) There are some of which that seem to be long gone like Parakarry and Phenom that would be good as well, but they aren't around, or so it seems.

Now, the roster is first come first serve. Eight fighters, four Judges. (Selene or HotD would be the better choices, but someone like Joker could do justice as well.)

Alpha Division:
1. VS. 2.
3.Vs.4.

Judges:
1. Selene Starblade
2. Alex
3. Joker
4. Heroine of the Dragon

Beta Division

5.Vs.6.
7.Vs.8.

Remember, this tournament hopefully won't fall into obscurity if you post! If you don't post within 15-20 days of the beginning of the tournament(If you join, that is), you are disqualified. Hopefully, it won't be too constricting if you try to post a follow-up to an opponents attacks within 15 days. Anyway, The tournament will begin as soon as we have all positions filled, even though we might have to drop one judge position if no-one fills it.

No need to excuse yourself that fight was awful...but i can't remember who i was fighting.

I will be a judge as well as fork up 5,000 points to the winner and 3,000 to the runner up. That should be more than enough to get you a Title Change or Avatar if you do not yet have one

Ok whoever wins i wll give you 1000 and 500 to the runner up and well that is it.Shouldn't there be preliminarys to see who is qualified to be in the tournement?

Preliminaries? Why? If you're going to do that, may as well just add another level to the tournament, no point in separating it out.

All things considered, I'd prefer a judge position to a battler position in this tournament. I've more than enough on my plate for battle and RP at the moment, between this board and the other board, especially considering I currently only have access at work. Consider me a judge, unless someone like Wyborn or HotD wants the position, in which case I'll step over to battler status instead.

^^ To Selene: I'll have to see HotD's answer first. I've already PMed her about it, and I'll hopefully have an answer by tomorrow. If I don't have one within five days or she says no, you have the spot. For now, we wait to see which position you will take.

EDIT: A quick note: Please post which division you wish to be in. I would prefer if you did it that way, in that case we can randomize the matchups in a better way, not just "This person fights the next who joins, and this one the next...", and we can reduce intimidation as well. (Though intimidation really isn't a big driving factor.)

It just seems that if you want the matches to be more or less random anyways, posting them before you've got all the fighters is kind of extra work.
