Ra Son Ja had told him once that there was no action, only reaction. Yuri reacted. Killer gave it all away. The longhunter read everything in his eyes like they'd been printed in script and all of the sudden he'd pivoted, just as light and heat exploded from BEast's blaster-arm. Yuri ki-aied and the air grew thicker with his power, shimmered, and the barrage slowed to s still as Yuri howled and then simply burst into radiated sunburts of light and energy that bent, hissing backwards at Beast like a fog of electric rain.

Beast covered his eyes and face with his forearms, and bore the brunt of the backlash on his forearm, which superheated like metal, hissing and popping and filling the air with the aroma of roasting pork even as his flesh began to slough off the muscles and bone, roasted beneath the dissapated energy. He roared in agony, tearing his boiling arms from his face and vying for any kind of counter-attack--

Yuri was so close to him he could map out the whites and veins of his eyeballs. That attack was just to distract him, open up his guard and break his defenses...

Clever, Beast thought. Clever bastard.

The Go Rin No Sho dictates exactly how one should cut - or strike - his enemy. "Whenever you cross swords with an enemy you must not think of cutting him either strongly or weakly; just think of cutting and killing him. Be intent solely on killing the enemy. Do not try to cut strongly and, of course, do not think of cutting weakly. You should only be concerned with killing the enemy."

He did not gather energy around his fist or chant some incantation or do anything nearly so theatric - when he struck he did not plan on smashing down a mountain or killing a fly. He aimed beneath where the forearms had crossed, the aorta right over the hard in the left cage of his chest. His arm thrust forward like a spartan pilum, crashing two knuckles into Beast's thorax, breathing outwards as he did and funneling every ounce of spritirual strenght and intent into the blow as he did. Beast jerked. The air thunderclapped. In simpler Westendre martial art the strick was called "Steel Mountain Push", designed to pound aboive the heart and shatter the aorta cluster of arteries and fracture the ribcage, draining the victim of strenght and flooding their left chest cavity with blood, the internal haemmorhaging eventually killing them due to to blood loss.

Beast keeled over. He was a sturdy opponent. Yuri was no sure of the damage extent, only that he had meant to kill him. The body hit the ground in a thud and the longhunter walked towards Killer.

OoC: Jace is dead? Sweet. One more notch. 11: 45 here by the by.

Alex was nearly at the top of the plateau. But before he reached it, he had an idea. The arms of his mech suit came together and formed as one. The hands were replaced with a drill. Alex bore into the face of the plateau.

Meanwhile, on top, Beast was on the ground. Yuri had hit him with the "Steel Mountain Push" maneuver. The attack would have shattered Beast's ribcage. But Yuri underestimated one thing. The ribcage of a minotaur is more powerful than that of a human ribcage. Had Yuri been fighting a human, the ribcage would have surely been destroyed. His legs fully recovered, Beast rose from the ground and ran toward the longhunter. Yuri was again facing Killer. Killer saw Beast running full speed at Yuri. Yuri readied himself to attack Killer. Killer needed to make a distraction for Beast. Yuri threw his machete at Yuri, who caught it and laught at the futile move. It was then that he felt the speed and power of the minotaur's knuckles. Yuri fell forward, but before he hit the ground Beast yanked him back up by the arm. Beast put him in a full nelson lock-up, a move he learned from his father. With enough pressure applied on the head, this illegal greco-roman wrestling move could break someone's neck. Beast's applied pressure.

Meanwhile, inside the plateau. Alex was nearly done drilling.

Alex: That oughta do it.

The mech suit backed up to where he started drilling. The drill reverted back to arms. Alex fired the blaster cannon into the hole and leaped backwards into the air and out of the cave. The beam hit the end of the cave and caused an earthquake on the whole plateau. Alex hit the boosters on the mech suit and rose to the top of the plateau.

Back on top, the earthquake threw everyone off balance. Beast fell on top of Yuri, who was still in the full nelson hold. Killer fell on the ground as well. X-3, who was at least half way to the top of the plateau, managed to hold on, but just barely. Beast let go of the hold and tried to stand. He successfully stood and slowly made his way into the ice cave.

"When I get to the top, that guy in the mech suit will be my first target... X-3 angrily thought to himself. That Earthquake could have killed him, but he was able to hold on.

X-3 continued climbing, ready for more attempts to knock him off the plateau...

A humanoid figure is seen nimbly leaping up the plateau, from falling rock to falling rock, completley ignoring X-3 in his hurry to reach the top. He wears scale mail and wields a lance and a maderatley sized shield. He wears his lavendar hair long and has a calm, confident demeanor. Well he did until he saw Yuri.......
"Holy.......! Did he just....! Tell me he didn't....oh SHOOT!!! No, that's the quickest way to get killed. Gotta keep my cool....."
Rarus focuses deeply on Yuri, attempting to steel his resolve before taking action......

Jace became conscious again. The "bump" on the head from Beast crashing down on him had knocked him out before. Then, Jace noticed he was stuck in the ground like a nail in wood. Jace was trapped. Suddenly there was an earthquake that loosened the ground. Jace took advantage of this and busted out of the ground.
Jace is back in action.
