OoC: So Erdawn's team versus Alex's team? Well, I'd join it, if permitted to do so. If you would be kind enough, sir Alex, I will join and post tomorrow or this evening. Sorry for breaking the join and post an intro rule, just don't know if you want me around or not. May I? (Character I will use if permitted to join: Chiron Ve, the Centaur, last page of BoW.)

"That guy went up the plateau pretty quickly..." X-3 commented. "It's lucky that he didn't slam into me... X-3 was now very close to getting to the top. He started to see fighters, including the ones he had encountered while climbing.

X-3 slowly and quietly climbed onto the top. No one seemed to have noticed him. Then, his eyes caught on Yuri. X-3 was stunned by Yuri's appearance, as he was pretty much wearing animals. Only after a few mintes of scaning Yuri did he notice the weapons around his body.

"I think I'll fight on that guy's side. X-3 thought. "So I don't end up on his back or something... He started to imagine grey hedgehog spikes on Yuri's back. "Good idea...I just need a way of showing I'm on his side. He started to slowy walk away from the edge of the plateau...

Jace had just spotted X-3.
"Hey, what are you doing up here? No matter..."
Jace runs up to X-3, with sword in hand.
"Time to die!"

"Thanks." X-3 thanked the mysterious man. "Alright, I think it's time to start fighting...I think I'll start with...Hmm...I guess the guy in the mech suit. I just need to be careful...

X-3 grinned and shot a stream of white energy at Alex...

Beast pushed down on Yuri's neck and the longhunter could feel the disks creak as the pressure built up to breaking point. In a single, calculated surge of action and demonstrating a honed muscular flexibility, Yuri leapt upwards with his lower torso, tucking his knees to his chin, and brought both legs downwards in twin thrusts that punched in above Beast's respective kneecaps. There was a faint popping noise as they buckled, lifeless, anbd the gargantuan warrior bellowed and lurched downwards, Yuri breaking the suprised hold (his neck throbbing) and pivoting into an uppercut, the entire force of his waist and shoulders piledriving upwards beneath Beast's chin in a blow that shook his brain inside the cage of his skull and blacked him out for the crucial handful of seconds the longhunter needed.

He placed one hand on the minotaur's throat and the other jammed into the pelvis and with a burst of hadean, ursine strenght he lifted the cybernetic warrior up above his shoulders like a barbell, spinning him around so faced upwards before dropping violently into a kneel, bending Beast's immense spine across the muscular man's shoulders like a willow branch, performing a sadistic version of the Argentine Backbreaker Drop with deadly precision. There was a series of pops and crackles and the thump of impact and jerking from BEast's limbs before Yuri dropped to one knee, and blasted his right shoulder upwards and to the left, hurling Beast of him like a sack of furnace coals.

Boom.

There was little movement from BEast.

Yuri's body went flickery for a second again, his shape distorting and leaving a kind of dark, alien silhouette in its place, slowly filling in pieces to the normally barbaric longhunter's spritual placidity and almost buddhist solemnity. Like a shadow had peeled across his features he was suddenly dim to the world, and very little of him brought to mind images of the actual Yuri. With a practically audible shift, everything popped back to normal.

"I have to trust Jace and Alex to take care of themselves......I better keep my distance." Rarus nervously looked at Yuri. He knew that if he were foolish enough to engage Yuri in melee combat, he'd be dead almost instantly. "Hope this works........Photon BEAM!!!" With that, Rarus fires a beam of light at Yuri of respectable power.

In the midst of all of the annoying noises, Chiron was drinking his water, eating a thinned slice of bread from his pack. He gave absolutely no sign of hostility and watched for a while, up until the cloaked one attacked Jacevk. He spotted the tatooed one. So Yuri was here. Yuri, the one he had heard a little about in taverns. What was going one, Chiron wondered, to attract a warrior of his caliber? And then there was X-3, the hedgehog. He had been talked about by a few men of unknown race or origin. There was Jace, an unknown he had never seen or heard of, and there were a good amount of warriors otherwise. Yuri's team seemed a safer bet, but could he join it? He seemed a bit drawn to Alex' team, but it wasn't a feeling he desired to follow. He eventually took a javelin out of his pocket and threw it, and whichever side it landed on, well, that was his new team.

It flew, whistling almost joyfully, as if laughing.

And it flew.

Perhaps 20 seconds more.

It finally landed, around twelve feet from Yuri's feet.

"Humph. I have a team." Chiron grunted, trotting closer to the battle.

(ooc: To ammend the awkwardness of the pocket javelin, he has an adjustable loop that holds his javelins. He refers to it as a pocket.)

At that time the mysterious guy slashed Jace to the ground and the mysterious man drew fourth a dagger and jammed it in Jace! "That went easier than expected" he said.He knew Jace hadnt died yet the cloaked guy was just playing with him."He won't be much of a threat now" he spoke.
And eventully ran off to find another foe.

But that wasn't Jace though.
"Yo, look behind you!"
He looked behind him. Jace was standing there, smirking.
"Thats right, I can clone. Miss me?"
Then Jace started smashing the hell out of the mysterious guy.

The air turned to superheated gas and Yuri was blown clear off his feet by the underhanded assault, his hair bursting into flame. The longhunter's eyes closed and he roared as photons drowned him in heat and blindness and concussive force and in an effort of will, he brought his hands together through the beam (the flesh smoking from the muscle in vaporous red clouds) and in an unprecedented talent at sorcery, formed a perfect prismatic shape, the leylines of power diverting the light-beam and scattering it in an endless sea of direction, turning oxygene to fire and snow to gas and dirt to cbubbling clay for miles around before dissapating.

The longhunter fell backwards, plowed through the ice, and stood up on shaky legs. The image of Yuri flickered again, turned to white static, and finally dissapeared. A form unfamilar to the Battlefield-universe, Obelisk had maintained the mask of his adversary diligently, but he couldn;t concentrate the required force of will and fend off repeated assaults from numerous fronts all at once. Better they see the truth and die than live by killing his farcery.

Rarus was slack-jawed at the changed opponent. Where once there had been a tall, recognised veteran of the fields there now stood a humanoid mass of darkness, clearly outlined and distinctly muscled into the shape of a tall, Olympian human male, its flesh so astronomically black it was as if someone had taken a cookie cutter to the dimensional fabric of reality and opened-up a human-sized hole into space. Fields of stars seemed to flow and ebb and crash into each other between biceps and pectoral and abdominal muscles like a kind of cosmic blood-flow, nebulous gases blossoming and dissapearing like beautiful bruises and blotches brushtroked across cosmic skin. Decidedly European locks of hair poured back off a polished, sculpted brow of dimensional basalt into shifting tendrils of darkness interspersed with flickering beads of light like data-streams through the omplexities of computer circuitry.

"Christ," Rarus said. Yuri had impressed and terrified him and this... this wasn't his day. Without a second thought, he fired another Photon Beam (repeating it aloud as per the written cliche). Obelisk - and that was his given name, although really he had none, really he had been named many things by the civilisations he'd crushed beneath galactic bootheel as a cosmic warlord dedicated to return existance to a natural and tranquil state of eternal death - merely raised his hand. Something darker than dark opened in his palm and the beam bent, twisted and dissapaeared into its unknown gulfs and it closed just as snow began to drift upwards from the whitely carpeted field, like he'd opened a black hole by sheer foce of thought. In a dark blur something flashed from the air across the distance seperating the two warriors, and Rarus found himself tangled and crushed into helpless submission bythe massive, serpentine shape of the creature's tail, which twisted and writhed across the air like a black, starry tentacle and wrapped itself around his knees and throat with constricting force. It slided Rarus towards Obelisk as smoothly and silently as oiled smoke. The warrior howled curses.

You hurt me, the energy-vampire said, but it was more through a suggestion than words, and infrared stars of gathered power hummed through the air into Obelisk's arm like a crimson hyperspace-tunnel. The arm shot out, once, twice, four-five times, hammering into sternum, throat, kidney, stomach, shaking bones and damaging nerves and blood-flow in a series of motions fast enough to be misconstrued as a single movement of the shoulder and elbow. Rarus jerked and puked up blood and vomit in response as Obelisk's tail whipped around (its lenght so great it had to complete several funneling rotations before completly unwinding), flicking Rarus through the air into snow like a mosquito, leaving the air full of blood and broken scale-mail in his wake.

Try and hurt me again.

His hair and tail writed like astronomic snakes and the wind picked up around him. Withered into an unstable form after exposure to the atomic bomb and irradiated with cosmic and radioactive energies, he was now only a shell of his former terror... but it would suffice.

The blows were truley devastating, unlike anything Rarus had expected. Yet, although his core was mostly undamaged, the rest of his body was on the verge of collapse. Rarus knew that he hadn't a snowflake's chance in the nine hells of surviving another assault from Obelisk, or even a single blow from him. With the little strength he had left, Rarus began limping away from the battlefield.

After the real Jace smashed the mysterious guy he pulled out his best sword and charged at Jace he was ready though he dodged this way and that but finally the mysterious dude pulled out his daggers and aimed and threw them at Jace.
He tossed and 3 out of 4 hit Jace down to the ground.
'You obviously dont know my True power" said the Mysterious man.
And with that he disappeared into trees healing...

Beast lay on the ground unconcious. In his mind he saw images of his past life. His life was flashing before his eyes. At least that's what he thought. As the flashback of a battle came to an end, A figment of Beast from the past appeared.

Figment: Beast, what are you doing? You are better than this.

Beast: He's stronger than I thought. I might not be able to beat him.

Figment: Of course you can beat him. He only human. Humans are easy.

Beast: ...right.

Figment: Good. Now kill him.

Beast regained conciousness. He slowly got up and saw that more people had joined the fight. A mysterious man was fighting Jace and a warrior named Rarus was fighting a mysterious creature. But Yuri was nowhere to be found. Unless...

The newcomer fighting Rarus fought almost with the same strength and agility as Yuri. That would explain the flickering of Yuri's image Beast had thought he saw. Then, a javelin landed near the creature called Obelisk. Beast looked toward the direction it came from and saw a man walking toward it. The man was called Chiron. He had picked his team by using the javelin toss technique. Beast had used this times before in street brawls long ago. It had seemed Chiron was going to fight on Obelisk's side. Beast got up and shot his blaster at Chiron.

At this time, Alex had finished surveiling the battlefield. He looked to his right just in time to see a blast of white energy flying toward him. Alex elected from his mech suit just in time to watch it explode.

Alex: Woah! That could've been me!

Alex looked around to see the hedgehog, X-3, staring at him.

Alex: looks like the hedgehog survived the quake. Ah well. Time for me to take him down.

The arachnid warrior drew his sword and ran toward X-3. X-3 charged up for another energy attack, but Alex met him woth his own attack first. A beam of blue energy shot a the hedgehog, freezing him in a block of ice.

Alex: That'll take care of him. Now for that ugly looking thing.

Alex walked toward Obelisk.
