| Hello, VGF. I want to play a game... | The Trial of the Ghost-Dragon: RP topic. THEME BATTLE FOR THE GUNJIN! Okay, this is a battle that seems to be well requested: A themed battle and it is actually an RP Story, so hopefully I’ll have more than a few takers. Veterans are encouraged to join, so are seniors; Newbs, join at your own risk, because experience is required. This topic will center chiefly on necromancy and undeath, but will also encourage lighter characters, such as angels. BoW characters aren’t required; Use whatever character you want, just so long as you describe it well enough to get an image of it, and just so long as it’s an original, not a character from a movie and/or game. Please think about your choice so that it fits this core mythos: In a deep, dark cavern, there was formed of old an evil creature that was deepened in hatred and spite; one of an ephemeral presence, but therefore of a destructive one. He disappeared for a long season, but his reappearance disturbed the peace, as he returned as an undead monster instead of the dragon that he formerly was. Perhaps best in description is the one account of his destroying of Liryon, a town in deeper regions of Backars, a country also of old. Liryon was destroyed by an unknown presence, which was the beastly demon, and therefore a survivor described him in full, fearing the translucency of it, as it appeared. It was, as the witness spoke, a dragon of ethereal glow, but also of hideous features, and of an evil stench of decay. It was called a ghost dragon, and the witness was too terrified to delve further into describing its visage and presence. He shortly thereafter was found dead, eaten in half by what was most likely this creature. The Dragon-Ghost became known as King Mysius, the draconic undead and an iconic evil, and he destroyed many more towns, afterwards, he was not to be seen, and he was hunted. Hunters around the world came to try to find this monster, but the chief hunter, Delryan the Tornado Elemental, was the first to notice Mysius’ presence in a different country. Together with a few more hunters, there was an attempt to kill King Mysius, but this attempt needed funding and soldiers. Also, King Mysius brought forth his own necromic army of the horde, which he named “Karanarn Kinjulia, the destroyers of life, the undead harbingers.” These evil ones were gathered from around the universe, and therefore an evil never seen since Maggimus’ presence on Backars was released, and it was a great evil of olden ages, indeed… This battle allows for several people, unlimited in number, to join. It is an RP, so limit fighting as best you can, and also limit foolishness as best you can. Take this RP seriously, please. The options you have before you are A) Join Delryan and fight Kind Mysius, and this side is reserved for lighter creatures, so please refrain from putting evil and beastly creatures in this. Hunter-like characters are needed, but feel free to use some other style of character. Or B) Join King Mysius, and become a fighter for the great ghost dragon. This side is reserved for the undead, the dark, and the evil. Do not attempt to overthrow Mysius with your evil character; he is the main villain in this RP, and he will remain so, no matter if your character acts more evil in action. Several times, the Evil Master is more smart than evil, therefore this great dragon fit’s the bill. I would like several people to join this. HotD has been asking when I was going to create a themed battle, and now I am, so please support it. I would like a judge or something to help enforce the rules, but I don’t require one. Also, HotD, if you’re reading this, you asked for it, so please get involved. ![]() LASTLY, REMEMBER TO RP, NOT FIGHT, AT FIRST. THIS IS A STORY, SO IT NEEDS INTERACTION AND DEVELOPMENT FIRST OF ALL. IT IS A GOOD CHANCE TO DEVELOP A CHARACTER AND HELP REVIVE THESE GOOD OLD TOPICS, SO PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO RANDOMLY KILL A TEAM MEMBER AND/OR ENEMY OUT OF NOWHERE AS IF THIS WAS A BATTLE. ALSO, I KNOW YOU NEWBS ARE LAZY, BUT PLEASE READ THE RULES AND CORE-STORY ALL THE WAY THROUGH BEFORE POSTING SOME WHACKED-UP CRAP THAT RANDOMLY PESTERS THE OLDER MEMBERS, INCLUDING MYSELF. OK, so when we get enough people, this will launch. Remember, join and please post, and HAVE A GREAT TIME!!! |

| Hello, VGF. I want to play a game... | For this battle? No. This battle requires seriousness, complete seriousness. I'd prefer the character to be a bit, well,... Cooler, if you will. Not to say X-Nauts aren't cool, they just don't fit this type of situation. |

He, along with other skilled huntsmen, where preparing for the ensuing battle that was soon to come. "We must be ready at all times for every moment could be your last out here. I'm sure not one of you wants to die looking like an idiot that wasn't prepared." Sylis was preparing a small knapsack that contained some explosive, Elven bread(a good food when on the move) and a stone that glowed when the hunt was near. It now glowed faintly. |

Tall, as most wizards are, clothed in silk and silver. His scarlet robe had complicated silvery patterns inlaid with garnets and rubies. These pricked at the edges of vision, yet resembled circuitry more than runes. He was completely bald and beardless, with ruddy skin only slightly stained by the hazardous chemicals of his trade. Before Alvis could get a response, another warrior entered the room for an introduction. He toyed with the dagger hanging on a silver chain from his belt. |

It's annoying to those that look at a topic for actual posts involving the topic. I'ma chuck something in here when my internet conection is actually stable and not on the point of exploding... have to have only one of the pcs here able to go on dial up... and no high speed conection. |

| Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Betwen the Iron Gates of Fate Gender: Posts: 3,833 Thanks: 126 Thanked 196 Times in 136 Posts | I'll join using White Gear and good ol' hunky dory Vapor, on the side of Delryan. <<<<<<>>>>>> Vapor walked into the camp with a bowl of soup. "Hello. I encountered a pretty weird somethingorother back there killing a bunch of people... It didn't notice me. I had before heard that a bunch of people were hunting it, and anyhting that kills everything can't be too good. I'll help." He then drank all the soup in one gulp. A hunter walked up to him, dumbfounded. "How did you escape?!? How are you still sane?!? Why aren't you're limbs eaten away?!?" Vapor thought for a moment, then shrugged. The hunter walked away more dumbfounded than before. Suddenly, a white ball of metal crashed through the banches of a nearby tree. It landed in a crater about 5 feet from the camp. It unfolded into a tall, slender, nigh-faceless robot with gears protruding from his joints and something that seemed to be a deranged chainsaw. Telepathically, he said to Sylis,"I sense an enemy of old here. One I was created to kill. That I have to destroy in alignment with my soul." Sylis was a bit confused. "If you're talking about King Mysius, alright. Join us." The robot nodded. "If this King Mysius is the Grazk I saw earlier, I will put every atom of my being into destroying it." Another hunter said, "Mysius isn't a 'Grazk'. He's an undead being that rampages and destroys all who even come near him." " My senses do not lie. That was a horrible Grazk." "Whatever. as long as you help kill it." OoC: White Gear is a soldier made to fight an alien race called the Grazks. Mysius apparently greatly resembles one. |

Here" Sylis drew a strange marking on White Gear. "There, that just shows that you are one of us. the strange looking one over there, is he with you? Anyway... he stands out enough." Sylis finished packing the knapsack(again filled with hunting explosive, a stone that showed wether the game was near or not(that was now glowing faintly) and some Lembas bread. The items he packed last were some rune stones and a rune spell book. There are some good spells for combating the undead in there.) And decided to survey the landscape. He found a nice hill and pulled out a spyglass and began surveying. |

| Hello, VGF. I want to play a game... | Delryan looked over the field in dissapointment; A predicament that he alone was hired to handle was to his understanding the predicament at hand. However, because there was a small ammount of confusion, he was later informed that he would be assisting a party of hunters, one of skill most likely of equal consequence. Mysius' great body had been seen within a few miles of the area, and his bony face was obvious in his misted presence. Delryan decided he would give lead of the hunting party to Sylis, because of Delryan's disdain for speaking, and he ran his lifeless eyes across the field, his coal black hands glistening and his pale white skin otherwise envying his anomalous hands. Such power was stored there, such envious skin would have payed any ammount of currency to be as powerful and dangerous. Delryan's muscles flexed, and he jumped towards the camp. A-hunting they would go, but what of Mysius' party? OoC: I need some people to join Mysius' side. |
