Virtual Hotel Rises from the ashes - VGF

Alucard walked through the remains of his once proud and award winning hotel and frowned. "This will never do." he muttered and pulled the one stone that was needed to keep the place together. "Maybe I should rebuild it bigger and better." he muttered as he enchanted the stone with new blueprints and looked around at the debris. "I'll need more materials too." he muttered and a swarm of doppelgangers that took on his form appeared moments later with the materials he heeded. "Ah, My staff's back." He said as they added the materials to the pile already there and then he nodded.

"Let's re-open the hotel." Lycos said as he placed his hand on Alucard's left shoulder. "Yeah, it's about time that it was reborn." Daemon Said, his armored hand on Alucard's other shoulder. "Besides, I was getting bored just training." Wolfgang said as he stood to the left of Lycos. "It's time. Let's get this party started." Samuel Added from Daemon's right.

"Thanks you guys." Alucard said and then looked up. "Don't tell me you were gonna start without us!" Drake said, Amadaeus on his back, flying in from the west. "I wouldn't dream of it." Alucard said, chuckling as he looked to his friends. "Well? Shall we?" He said as the last two landed. "Go ahead. it's your show Alucard" Deké said telepathically.

Alucard nodded and tossed the stone into the debris, which suddenly started to rebuild on its own. Brick by Brick, beam by beam, the whole hotel reformed from the rubble. The majestic fifty story building spanned out about 40 football feilds wide and long, and rose up like a pyramid in the middle of the terrain. To top off it's new look and shape, at the very top was a glass diamond shaped stone that seemed to work like a becon to anyone coming towards the hotel.

"We're back in business." Alucard said as the eight of them entered the building and went about the business of claiming their own rooms there on the first floor. One of the doppelgangers that looked like Alucard stood at the front desk to greet guests that would come to stay at the hotel that has over 5000 rooms, each one able to be totally customizeable to the guest that will stay in it.

(Stickied to be an official place of rest. This works well to both keep this place alive and to be a public place of rest in between battles. Have fun, kids.)

Tayst E. started cooking in the kitchen and one of the doppelgangers, taking on the form of a bellboy, delivered them to the room. "Here you go sirs." he said before vanishing into thin air.

Meanwhile, in another part of the hotel...

Alucard went down to a training room and started to spar with a doppelganger that was copying Wolfgang.

^How about you shut the **** up. You want someone to join this? Fine, I will. Just don't insult the whole damned place because we battle. It's called the ****ing battlefield for a reason. Oh, and your last post was particularly insulting because it was the mod decision to make tournaments continuously flow for activity. This is a classic idea, but I can't condone you being condescending just to pick up some attention.

I will join this soon, because for now, I have other things I have to write and some forthcoming exams.

(( OoC: Galefore, I've intended this topic to be a sort of "nexis" between realms where the combatants can recover in a visible setting as opposed to just mysteriouly being healed by next combat. You may have seen previous versions of this hotel, and they do end up seeing combat with a large variety of players to help build the storyline leading up to the imminant climactic battle. I thank you for your thoughts on what this is and i'm sorry that it wasn't taken into concideration prior to Tazy's post. The events here are to help bridge the gap between combat scenarioes with players. Thank you.

Shadow: tell me again why we came here?

Inferno: because we've been on the road for several months and even though you don't need any down time Shadow, we do.

Thunder: exactly, besides this will give me time to work up some blueprints for the casting system 2.0 for Giga Gundam.

Aquaria: yah, who knows, we may find that thing we're looking for while we're here.

Shadow: I doubt we would find THAT in this dump. *WHAM!!!* OW! what was that for!?

Aquaria: that was for insulting this fine establishment.

Shadow: whatever, I need a drink, I'll be at the bar.

Aquaria: if you need me I'll be in the pool.

Thunder: I'll be at the cafe over there working on those new blueprints.

*the three siblings head off in different directions leaving Inferno behind*

Inferno: looks like I'll need to get our room.

Everything seems to be going normally. No chaos, no destruction, no signs of any sort of outwardly evil presence... that is until...

En: What the- A black out?

Tazy: Dang! I was about to win too.

Qual: No you weren't, he lapped you twice.

Kryp: Hey, what's that?

The four turn their attention to a wall that glowed through the darkness, it seemed like nothing more than a glowing wall, as if it were covered in glowing paint, that is until a pair of yellow eyes materialized amongst the green background.

"AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH!"

The wall let out a deafening scream, which, for whatever reason, went unheard except to the ears of the four in the room. In fact, the rest of the hotel was still brightly lit, the spook had only targeted this room.

"GEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTT OOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTT!"

How would they react?

^^^^I knew as much. I remember the older topics, and I remember the battles. When Tazy started yapping about this being non-battle, it was a little weird...

Tazy, I accept your apology. I didn't quite mean to come off so... snappy... But, I believe in the end you know why I did.

I really hope this grows as large as the previous installments. I like the idea of recovering visably, so I would like to sticky this for the purpose of continual use of the stated purpose and so it won't die so easily. If Alucard doesn't mind, I will make it so.

The four succeed in destroying the wall, the apparition seemed to dissipate, and the wall simply rebuilt itself.

"So... you four aren't as weak as you appear..."

The voice came from nowhere, yet seemed to be everywhere. Then, a tall ghostly figure with a green, striped pointed hat appeared before them. It seemed ghostly enough, with nothing of lower appendages but a stereotypical ghost tail. It's arms were folded across its chest, its yellow eyes gleaming with a hidden malice.

"Perhaps I can make you my slaves. Yes... It is getting harder to find quality peons these days."

He lifted his hat, and pulled from it a long bandage, similar to the kind found wrapped around mummies, and cracked it like a whip.

"Once I get this around you, you will serve me for the rest of your mortal lives, and then some!"

He laughed a maniacal laugh, then made his advance.

Life is enthralled with death, and death with life. Life is at a loss for words, but death is always open, speaking curses and blessings with iron words and an arrogant composure. Both are the center, but both are aprt in their own way.

Those words, as they always did, were ringing back and forth in Galefore'sead in the midst of silence. He had heard them so many times, not only from his mentor Merangul but from Fesean Corenth himself, as he rasped them in cold blood over his defeated prey, Dalopan, before tearing the smiling earth elemental apart. That sight was forever in Galefore's mind; Dalopan was at peace inside, and he died at peace.

The simple fact was, Galefore was not yet at peace. There was Maggimus; as well, he had an underling with an inane desire to kill the smiling, bandaged Corenth, a man who's enigma was inpossibly enormous. He was powerful, skilled with weapons...

And, to tell the truth, the young man known as Selm had no real vendetta against Core. He had lost a house to him the day Merangul died of old age, but Core was weak at that time, and his attack was likewise weak. Although the house was burned to the ground, that was nothing like losing a family to the man...

However, Galefore cared not about these things. He needed rest. His friend may have died, his student may have run off into an oblivion that would kill him, but that was not going to deter Galefore from sleep. Groggily, he asked for a room key, and was on his way after paying...

Even at that moment, he knew there would be no rest here...

A look of slight disgust came over Kelekolio's face. His hands clenched tight around the wrapping, then the wrapping all together disappeared.

"If that's the you want it... I'm just going to have to kill you all!"

With this he vanished, the four kept up their guard, as you can never really trust a ghost to stay vanished. They heard a soft chuckle from a corner of the room, they imediately fired their proton beams at the sound.

Tazy: Did we get it?!

Kryp: How am I supposed to know?

Qual: He's still here.

Tazy: Where? I don't see him.

En: Up there! *points to green splotch on the roof*

Kryp: No, he's over there! *points to a green cloud hanging in the room*

Kelekolio then appears, but when Tazy and Kryptonite try to zap him, their proton packs are out of juice.

Tazy: I thought you charged these things last night!

Kryp: I thought you did!

Kelekolio: Hehehe... fools.

He lifted his hat off of his head, and then pulled it down over himself. The hat seemed to swallow him whole, the he dissapeared. The room brightened once more, and all seemed to be well again.

Tazy: Was that it...? I was expecting more, eh Kryp? Kryp? Answer me Kryptonite!

Kryptonite's eyes were glowing green (well, green-er). Then he made a shocking announcement to the remaining three.

Kryp(possessed): iF yOu wAnt YoUR FriEnD BAcK, MeET me In frOnT oF ThE hOtEL.

Kryp then ran off before the others could say anything.

I remember the older topics, and I remember the battles. When Tazy started yapping about this being non-battle, it was a little weird... Tazy, I accept your apology. I didn't quite mean to come off so... snappy... But, I believe in the end you know why I did. I really hope this grows as large as the previous installments. I like the idea of recovering visably, so I would like to sticky this for the purpose of continual use of the stated purpose and so it won't die so easily. If Alucard doesn't mind, I will make it so.

Life is at a loss for words, but death is always open, speaking curses and blessings with iron words and an arrogant composure. Both are the center, but both are aprt in their own way. Those words, as they always did, were ringing back and forth in Galefore'sead in the midst of silence. He had heard them so many times, not only from his mentor Merangul but from Fesean Corenth himself, as he rasped them in cold blood over his defeated prey, Dalopan, before tearing the smiling earth elemental apart. That sight was forever in Galefore's mind; Dalopan was at peace inside, and he died at peace. The simple fact was, Galefore was not yet at peace. There was Maggimus; as well, he had an underling with an inane desire to kill the smiling, bandaged Corenth, a man who's enigma was inpossibly enormous. He was powerful, skilled with weapons... And, to tell the truth, the young man known as Selm had no real vendetta against Core. He had lost a house to him the day Merangul died of old age, but Core was weak at that time, and his attack was likewise weak. Although the house was burned to the ground, that was nothing like losing a family to the man... However, Galefore cared not about these things. He needed rest. His friend may have died, his student may have run off into an oblivion that would kill him, but that was not going to deter Galefore from sleep. Groggily, he asked for a room key, and was on his way after paying... Even at that moment, he knew there would be no rest here...
