Battle of wits

[I REALLY HATE POKEMON!]

This is my attempt at a unique battle, it's open to anyone but to make this easy, I'd prefer to battle someone with a more technical character rather than Goku or something I'll be using Light Yagami with his Death Note and Shinigami Eyes. The battlefield (assuming I can just make one) is a small ghost town with 12 two story buildings and randomly strewn vehicles and debris. It is midnight and fog is everywhere. Light hides in the top floor of a building, watching and waiting...

Eh..I dont' feel like using one of my own characters, so I'll just use Mario, if you don't mind. And he has all of his items from every game.

I don't mind you using Mario, just no Invincibility Stars or 1-Up Mushrooms. That said, make your move

Out of nowhere, a warp pipe appeared out of the ground. Out came a plumber wearing a red shirt,a red hat, blue overalls, white gloves, and brown shoes. "Let's-a-go!" he said.

He walked along, holding the piece of paper sent to him saying,'fight me.'
"Is anybody there?" he said. The town was abondoned, left for the rats to settle in.

Mario was knocked over as a stranger appeared in a flash of light and tackled him. Mario broke free and swung his hammer, knocking his enemy back. "So, you got enough courage to come," his opponent said.

^1-up, I think he wanted somebody experience to do a Death Note battle of 'wits', not a physical battle. you might want to sit this one out and finish the ones you were already in.

Light looked at his short, obese plumber foe and let loose a cocky chuckle. "Mario Mario huh? You are stronger than you look. I guess I need to try." Light quickly punches Mario square in his nose and all in one quick motion trips him and jumps back. As Mario gets up from his fall he sees a notebook. Light sketches a quick "M"...

True, but Light can do CQC. Also, anyone can jump in right now, for me this is practice.

Mario ran toward Light and kicked the notebook out of his hands.
With a quick look, Mario threw it far behind him and jump-kicked Light in the jaw.

Light screams but not in pain. He couldn't stand the humiliation of being both kicked and disarmed so easily. "I am the god of this new world! I am justice!"Light kicks Mario with everything he has in the chest and grabs the huddled over Italian powerhouse by the arm and goes into a spin. He throws Mario into the flaming debris of a small car. "I am Kira. Too bad you've probably never heard of me, if you have you'd never have attacked me and you may still have lived a while longer..." He walks to the book.

Hey. Dude, IRHP. Mind if me and you get together via an IM service and plan something badass similar to a battle of wits not unlike Death Note's? I want to do something like that. Nice and organized, but just loose enough to keep viewers and participants guessing.

Sounds great but PM would have to suffice...I'm actually surfing the net via PSP and it's not easy, to say the least. Feel free to throw some ideas my way if you still want to.

Mario lay in pain. He thought it was all over, he would never go back to the Mushroom Kingdom. Kira stepped toward Mario, expecting to see a dead body. Instead, he saw a crunched car, a giant foot ontop of it.
He looked up, to see that Mario had eaten the giant mushroom, now with more power than before. Mario kicked forward with tremendous force, sending his opponent through two buildings. "It's not over yet!" Mario said.

Luckily, for Kira, most of the buildings had severe structural damage. However, the steel rod crammed through his left shoulder didn't help. "Bastard...! I don't wanna die..." Kira rose up from the ruins and removed the rod. He sneered in pain as blood gushed out. Kira knew he had to move quick and dashed to a gas can. "Burn in Hell," he growled as he ran to Mario, dowsing him in gas. Mario flung a van at Kira, barely missing. Kira threw a tire in Mario's face, toppling him into the flaming car behind.

Mario was almost dead, but he pulled out a fire flower, making the fire have no effect on him. mario shot three fire balls, setting Kira on fire.
Mario grabbed Kira, and slammed him into the ground, and then kicked him, sending him through buildings.

OoC: Correct me if I'm wrong but Fire Flowers don't give fire immunity. "N...o..." Kira looked at left arm, or rather, where it should have been. His legs were a twisted monstrosity and he realized about 60% of his body was covered in 3rd degree burns. He couldn't take much more and he was nearly immobile. He dragged himself inside a building closet. He needed time to regain his composure and rest, not to mention formulate an exit strategy. Kira was shaking and his notebook was lost. He had a scrap though.

Kira shook and breathed hard. He looked down at the scrap of his note book.
On it was part of his sketch of the M. "Darn you," he said in pain.
He heard several loud stomps just outside the building.

Mario walked along, looking for his opponent. He was near the building that Kira was in. "Hu..huh...hu.." He heard the loud breathing.
"So, there-a-you-a-are!" Mario began crushing the building, ramming,punching, and kicking.

Most of the building was gone, just the first floor left, where the closet was.
The door to the closet had come off its hinges, due to the tremendous amount of attacks at the building. There, was Kira, bruised, and bleeding.
Mario reached down and grabbed him, and slammed him onto the ground.

"You-a-weakling."
Mario raised his right foot, and stomped down with great force onto his bleeding and nearly dead enemy.

Kira finally caught a break. No, not the fracturing of virtually every bone in his lower body but the glass around him. Kira grabbed the most sharp & durable piece of glass he could get and tore away at Mario's leg. Like a faucet the giant leg poured out blood. Mario stepped back and Kira found a large wooden plank and using it as a crutch, limped like Hell to the staggering goliath. He smashed with insane strength from adrenilne, the plank into Mario's genitals, snapping the plank in half.

Mario screamed in pain. "Why-a-won't-you-a-die?!"
Mario bent over in pain, and almost shattered his fist into Kira.
Mario then grabbed him, threw him, and stomped him.
He then backed away, expecting his opponent to attack back.
But everything was perfectly still.

OoC: I can't recall which arm Kira's watch was on so I assume it's the right arm./ Even if Kira were to kill his foe, he'd probably never survive in even the best hospital...however, Kira would take Mario's life. With the last power he didn't have, he smashed his watch, flung out a paper shred from within and with his own blood wrote "Mario Mario" and his eyes blurred...30 seconds, could Kira survive even that long?

Mario pulled a metal cap out of his pocket. His opponent was near death, but Mario was too. He could now not be hurt by a regular attack. The giant Metal Mario ran forward and kicked Kira, crushing him.

OoC: I dunno if that last move was made purpusely to negate the pending heart attack but what an excellent move! "No..." Kira gurgled and seen his guts strewn about before his last quick thought: "If only I...wrote...a cause...of death..." What a mess. Light Yagami, Kira was dead. OoC (again): That was fun, though I'd have loved to get a win under my belt...Congrats, 1-up, good battle.
