I'd like to have 2 teams of 2 battle so I need a partner and a challenging team. Someone else pick the field please. I'll be using Crono as my character.

Link walked, looking for a partner. He knew the dangers ahead of him, with the corpses spread everywhere as an obvious sign. He wasn't sure if he even wanted to know what challenges he was in for.
He didn't even want to be here. He was in Hyrule, everything normal, until a large bright blue light appeared, taking him here. He walked along a large room, expecting something to jump out at him any second.

"So, why are you here?"

Link turned around to see a teenage boy with a ninja-like-headband, and spiky red hair. Link first thought to attack, but immediately stopped, when the boy held out his hand.
"I'm Crono."

Link thought for a second, and then shook the hand.

"I'm Link."

"As you've probably noticed, this place is filled with corpses and threats.
I need someone to be my partner in order to survive getting out of here. And I'd rather make friends than enemies."

Link realized what he meant, and agreed to team up.

"I didn't even choose to be here," said Crono."You see, there was this bright light that appeared in my village. As soon as it shone on me, I immediately found myself here."

"That's the same thing that happened to me," said Link.

Crono noticed behind a pile of corpses, a figure hiding. He put out his arm, stopping Link. He whispered, "Wait, Link, we're not alone. I don't think he saw us yet." Crono grinned. A lightning bolt slammed from nowhere into the pile of corpses. "Get ready..." Crono gripped his sword.

Nightshade flew through the air, by the force of the blast. It was he that was hiding.
Crono ran forward and began fighting. Link raised the Ultimate Master Sword into the air and began the transformation, covered in a bright light. After a few seconds, the light disappeared and Link looked different, and much stronger.

A trench-coated figure suddenly walked into the Spire, wondering who his opponents would be. He knew he would have to be careful, because he was facing not one, but TWO opponents at once, at least until his partner arrived. Until then, Nightshade decided, he would have to give it his all to defeat his opponents.

Nightshade walked up the long and winding stairs to the next room, where he saw his opponents the moment he walked into the large room. One of his opponents was a youth with spiky red hair, which has wrapped in a ninja-like headband, and donned a blue tunic which wrapped around his body. The second opponent was none other than the Hero of Time himself, Link. But, Link looked a little different than usual. Regardless, Nightshade took out his crowbar and prepared for battle, deciding to fight Link first.

Ultima Link stood, sword unsheathed. Nightshade leapt forward and swung his crowbar, knocking him back. Ultima Link lifted up his sword and pointed his sword at him, firing a yellow beam. Nightshade fell back, but defended himself holding his crowbar up just as Ultima Link struck.

Nightshade kicked upward, knocking him back. Nightshade jumped up and threw his crowbar forward, hitting Ultima Link in the chest. Ultima Link grabbed the crowbar and hit his enemy in the face. Nightshade cried out.

Ultima Link then kicked him away, and swung his sword at Nightshade's chest.

Crono decided Link could handle himself in battle and just kept an eye out for another foe he was sure would show up. Standing a good distance from the fight, Crono crossed his arms and closed his eyes after a moment to collect his thoughts.

Crono simply ignored the two that were fighting as he readied himself for his opponent. He had his hand on his sword the whole time, and in the other hand showed his determination and willpower. Suddenly a voice shouted at the Orange Haired Warrior. "Well, no need to hide it anymore." Crono pulled the sword out of its sheath and looked for his opponent, but only saw Darkness, then a light appeared above Crono, causing him to cover his eyes to adjust to the new light source. Then he looked up to see that it was a large energy ball headed for his face.

Crono used his sword in an attempt to block the attack, but it would actually absorb the energe and provide a somewhat medium shock to his system, causing Crono to almost drop his sword. Suddenly, a Yellow Ball falls and ricochets into Crono's Stomach, flinging him back towards Nightshade and the weird Link. "Hmmmm, didn't fully expect you to block that shot." said the creature that was originally the ball.

The Creature was a "Hedgehog", if you know what a hedgehog is, with a couple of strands of Pink hair on his forehead. Around his arms are bloody chains connected to the two swords in his hands. Blur jumps into the air and forms a ball again, then flies into Crono.

Without a word, but with a headsup glance to Link, Crono unleashed his Lightning 2. Link did a huge backflip just far enough from the powerful wide ranged attack. Both foes were close enough for the attack to work on them simutaneosly. After the attack, Crono rubbed his stomach and wiped away the sweat from his neck and face.

Ultima Link knocked over Nightshade. Blur was charging up a spin dash. Just before he attacked, Link shot him with an ice arrow, freezing him.

Nightshade lay on the ground, his arms sprawled across the cold floor. He knew he had to do something to hold his opponents off while he helped Blur escape from his icy prison. But what? He was still in pain from that attack from Ultima Link. But he still had to do something before he and Blur lost the fight.

Nightshade slowly got up off the ground and glared at Ultima Link. "Hey!" Nightshade called out. Link slowly turned around to face the trench-coated warrior. "You think I'm gonna stay down after that? I'm just getting warmed up!" Nightshade then teleported to where Link was and raised his foot and brought it back as if to throw a roundhouse kick. Link quickly prepared to dodge the kick, but Nightshade surprised him by slamming his knee deep into the Hylian warrior's gut, making him let out a low grunt as he dropped to the ground writhing in agony. Nightshade then took out his crowbar, teleported to where Blur was and unleashed a mighty blow to the ice Blur was encased in with his crowbar. Suddenly, the ice started to crack and Blur broke free of his icy prison. Nightshade then smirked at the hedgehog and asked, "You ready to do this?"

Crono was in shock, he figured it was over. "I hope he's ready to do this," said Crono to Nightshade (NS). Crono waited for everyone to gather themselves. After a moment he ran up to NS and cut at him, missing and recieving a blow from the crowbar to his left side & spin attack from Blur. Link fired another ice arrow to backoff the combo on Crono. The team lept away from the shot. Crono looked disappointed and dash-jumped quickly at NS, slicing him deep across the chest diagonally twice before jumping back
