Instead of using Sabrilocke, I'll be using Swift. His profile's on page 11 of the Book of Warriors, or, if you're too lazy to find it, here.

Battlefield: you'll be fighting Swift on a translucent freeway, light turquoise in color, bordered on the left and right by one-foot steel walls. Where it begins and ends, no one knows; it's about thirty feet wide. While there are no streetlights present, there is lighting. Above is a beautiful, starlit sky; about a hundred feet below is a calm sea.
The road is, for the most part, straight, but every once in a while, you'll come upon a curve. There are no automobiles present.

Rules are: no OHKO, nothing cheap, summoning and transforming are allowed, you can only self-heal once, but feel free to heal your mana as many times as you want, life and mana-tapping is permitted. Be aware, however, that Swift is immune to any mind-altering spells or abilities, poisons, and transformation magics.

--------------------------------

Swift sat at the left edge of the great freeway, legs dangling over the brink; he was listening to music, which came from a headset, and he was drinking flavored water.

No offense, but could I break in one too? I'm working on its profile, so I'm afraid no backround, or is that illegal? If not, I'll try.

OoC: whatever flips your switch. :| I don't get how I could be offended. I guess you could say this battle is like two virgins going at it.
Your 'location' says 'MY MOTHER WAS A SAINT' .... would that, by any chance, be a nod to the Arrogant Worms?

^ Ayup. First time someone's noticed that.

OKay, before anything happens, I just wanted to give SOME information.

My fighter happens to be a large blob of mercury with a heat/cold device and a chip directing this. And that device isn't like climate control, it ranges from -150 F to 300. Essentially that means shapeshifting. Now, I'm not going to use gimmicky stuff like replication or multiple limbs soley, I've found some nasty, occasionally cheap stuff to do with it. Don't worry about that too much.
Now, he could also cause poisoining, but since you char is immune, let's not worry about that either.
The only recognizable features are eyes that resemble lines burnt into the metal. Here's basically what they look like.

Your move.

OoC: wow .... for once, a character I can visualize.

--------------------------------

Swift sealed his bottle and stuffed it into a pocket on the inside of his jerkin, causing it to vanish. He cleared his throat and stared into the distance.
Was this place always like this? It's pretty.
His reverie was, however, short-lived, for out of the corner of his eye, he saw a mercurial being walking down the freeway, headed in his direction. Startled, he stumbled forward and almost fell a hundred feet into the water below, but he caught himself at the last minute with his left hand, with which he held onto the freeway. First, however, he touched a button on his headset-- the music ceased. Then, gathering what strength he could into his left arm, he pulled himself up and clambered back to safety.
The being was now watching him intently from twenty feet away.

Or at least looked like it. It was huge, and was barely in a humanoid shape. Swift waved his hand, but there was no reply. He came closer, then stuck out his hand. "I'm Swift. Who're you?" The thing went into a panic, then anger seemed to settle into its blank face, somehow. It seemed to interpret the gesture as a threat. Half of it shot out with superhuman speedand curled around the guardrail. The other half followed suit, swinging under the freeway, but not before buffeting him on his side, nearly taking him with it. Right before the pain took over though, he felt deathly cold where it touched him. Swift gasped for air hoping for a respite,

"Bastard!" He picked himself up and quickly analyzed it-- Mercury?
Whatever.
He drew his sword from its sheath at the left side of his waist with his right hand, but then tossed it into his left, raising his right just above his forehead and six inches away.
Seemed to be concentrating on something....
When he lowered his arm, his body suddenly became enveloped in a scarlet light that soon faded.
Lledwyn let itself hang from its .... hanging-spot on the border and swung itself once, and when it returned, let go of the ledge and threw itself at Swift, landing on him with the force of a mack truck. Swift tried dodging, but failed. Badly. So badly, in fact, that the impact knocked him flat on his chest.
The blob slid away and gathered once again into its .... kind-of-humanoid shape, while Swift picked himself up again. He made a motion similar to the one he'd made before, that caused him to glow, but when the motion finished this time, a hard jet of flame sprayed from his mouth and hit Lledwyn.

Before anything happened, Lledwyn began to start melting down the front, but then the temp unit kicked in. A noise that sounded like a fridge without a limitor ensued, and the thing drew back up to standard, though using up a ton of power. By using its grab-pull method of moving, it moved faster until Swift couldn't track it unless he wanted to barf from nasuea. Then half of it wrapped itself around him, and then turned cold. It grew warm again, then freezing again, but there was a contraction aropund Swift. It happened again, and his Cd player burst into music, than was crushed in its embrace. It...uses...tempature...by freezing...and then liquefying to move...so all I have to do is-"
Ow!" Swift sreamed, felling a rib crack. Two were ready tro go, unless he did something...

OoC: mm, it really isn't a CD player-- more like just headphones. Magic headphones, if you will.

--------------------------------

Kinda cold, kinda hot .... Bean's cooking. What'll I do?

The last time he was in such a situation, he passed out and his friends took care of things. Too bad his friends weren't around this time.

Hope this works.

Swift closed his eyes and concentrated-- then there was a big, smoky, firey explosion that scattered parts of Lledwyn that, at first started melting, but soon cooled and recollected.
Swift lay on the ground feeling drained, hot, and stiff. When he got up it felt as if he'd swallowed really hard water. The only thing keeping him up was his sword, meaning the blast made his legs feel numb. Lledwyn took the shape of a sharp object and threw itself at Swift, but at the last minute Swift fell flat on his ass and Lledwyn missed, landing behind him. It prepared another attack, this throwing itself at him as it did in my last post, but alas, Swift rolled to the side and got up, forcing himself into his 'casting' position.
When it ended this time, red balls of energy shot out of Lledwyn's body and at Swift's heart. He felt revitalized, but still, kind of empty. Revitalized, because he lifetapped Lledwyn; empty, because the last thing he ate was .... Bean's cooking.
He cleared his throat rather loudly and spat a big, whitish patch of lung butter that resembled bloody semen.
He stared at it with disinterest. "Just my luck. I'm still bleeding." He wiped the corner of his mouth and looked at it-- yep, sure enough, there was blood on his glove.
He looked up at Lledwyn from the rapidly dissolving lung-waste and popped his neck.

It was still. The entire thing. All that was emanting from the machine was a hiss from maintaining its form. Then there was a jolt that played across its surface, reviving it.
"Backup power connected."
It transformed its front into long, thin fopes with blades on the ends, only capable of causing minor cuts alone, but together, well, now was a good time time for Swift to think fast.
And he did.

Swift tilted his neck from left to right as the machine .... rebooted. When he saw the ropelike projections, he held his sword up-- after all, if you hold your sword up when someone's lashing a cat o' nine tails at you, that makes it useless.
Too bad that didn't apply in this case! The projections, instead of hitting the blade as he'd predicted, instead changed course and hit him. All of them. So there were a bunch of nasty lacerations all over his body. At first he faltered, but then he tightened his grip, holding his sword with both hands, and ran at Lledwyn, an ancient rage that sleeps in all humans now awakened.
He leapt, swung, turned around and swung again, again, and again, last blow sticking in his shoulder.
He removed it and raised his sword to kill, but Lledwyn formed an arm and ran it through Swift's stomach. Swift gasped and fell on his back, sword landing beside him.
What's this...?
Nice save~

Swift gazed up as it towered 15 feet above him. How could this happen? Here he was, batrely able to move, and this thing was only low on power! But why wasn't it finishing him off? Swift tried to heave to his feet. Lledwyn tensed, but as he fell back, it relaxed again, and kept watching him intently.

It'll just grow if I get up, but I can't stay down forever.
He rolled backwards and got up. Lledwyn grew and prepared to run him through again, sharpening its thrusting edge; Swift dodged, and only an inch away from the border, assumed the 'casting position', concentrating intensely, and after a few seconds, Swift opened his mouth, sending red, blue, and yellow flames at him. Electricity ran all across Lledwyn's body, and the point of impact froze, and melted, only for the thermal to kick in again.
Lledwyn once again thrust a part of itself at Swift, and Swift was knocked clear off his feet, sword flying from his hands, landing next to Lledwyn's mass.
Sure enough, after only twenty or so seconds of falling, Swift crashed into the water back-first.
Huh. Am I gonna die now?
He was thirty-five feet under ( keep in mind the distance from the freeway to the water ), tumbling through the still waters.
I wonder how many people've tried suicide jumps from offa there?
His right hand softly touched the bottom. Sand. Hmph.
Guess if I drown I drown. Ivana's not gonna save me this time.
He waited-- either to die or resurface. Resurfaced. He stared up at the bridge-- he could see his sword, but .... where was Lledwyn?

Silvery goo spilt over the edge, then pushed the sword off. Swift hurried to get out of the way as the metal crashed into the water. He looked up again. This would be going on for a while now, as Lledwyn was no pixie. Then a hulk of scorched metal, not liquid, tumbled over followed by a charred computer chip, traling some sort of fiber network. The unit sank, but the chip floated to Swift's hands. He picked it up, dropped it because it was blistering hot, and peered at it from the surface.

He reached into his cloak and pulled out a forcep, putting it around the chip. He looked at it as he swam to his sword. "What have we here?" He grabbed his sword by the crossguard, sheathed it, and analyzed the chip.
Never fought a monster like this before.

He dropped it again, and watched it sink into the clear blue water, leaving a stream of bubbles behind.
Well, that's over... Now I just need to find how to get to the mainland.
Brr, the water's getting colder too. And it seems to be getting even more-
Swift looked down in horror. Somehow the chip had managed to reconnect with the unit, which was cooling the water.
But it was out of power, how...?
He had precipus little time to ponder, as a huge, icy form swelled out of the water, frozen spikes threatening to be stained with blood...

"Aw, **** me runnin'!" Swift flipped his hair to get a full view of the now-ressurected .... thing. He prepared another spell, making the same motions as he'd done before; as the casting ended, he muttered, "hope this works," and threw his right hand down, making a small splash.
Numerous meteorites came flying from the sky, some hitting Lledwyn, some landing flat in the water; a few missed completely and hit the freeway instead.
Three holes in Lledwyn.
Swift gave an uneasy sigh of relief.

Water filled the holes, then froze again, the only remnants of the attack were the jagged edges from the collision. After recovering, Lledwyn liquidated half of himself, and crashed the water down on Swift. The water filled Swift's world. The roaring, the crashing, the incredible force pancaking him.As his breath gave out, he started to gulp water, then was forced-
Wait, he could breathe and move again?
He choked up the water, then opened his eyes, his body numb.
He was lying in a giant bubble, frozen into a sphere. He spat up some more fluid, then got on to his feet.
Should be no problem to burn my way out of here...
He was about to blow fire, melting the wall but a stream of water extinguished the flames and forced their way down his mouth again. H e looked up, gasping for air as a large puncture gushed water in his chest. He fought to stay concsious, but only barely won. Again, as abrubtly as it had started, it stopped. He opened his eyes again, not daring to see.
The entire bubble was filled with water, and Lledwyn had sealed the openngs, and thickened the wall. It seemed all SDwift could do was wait for his end...

Swift blacked out....

Was I really supposed to die this way...?
No.
Huh? Who're you?
Velger, you dumbass. You honestly can't recognize your friends by the sound of their voice? You really are like Sab's father....
Whatever. What're you doing here?
No idea. What're you doing at the Freeway?
....I'm pooping. What's it look like?
Heh, haven't lost any of your bite.
Am I dead or something? I always thought it'd be Ivana to speak to me when I did.
Haha! Thought so.
What?

Next thing Swift knew, he was back, still floating inside the bubble, feeling a little revitalized. He drew his sword and poked at the walls-- no, can't pierce them .... he thought for a couple of seconds.
If he blew himself up again, he'd run the risk of the explosion bouncing off the walls and hitting him back, and that wouldn't be any good.

How can I get out of here, I wonder?

He relaxed a bit, and then opened his eyes.
From the sky an Ultima Demon materialized, standing at seven feet, with a wingspan of eleven. It descended violently into the water and effortlessly went through the bubble and carried Swift to safety on the Freeway. It then flew backwards, hovering a few feet over the left edge.
It spoke.

Aurora, exhale bloody air!

The material world seemed to give way .... all that could be seen was a night sky with Swift, standing high above Lledwyn, the demon, flapping its wings every few seconds to stay airborne, and Lledwyn, a ray of black light shining on it, ending at its shadow. Next came the sound of a seagull's mewing, and then a hard, black mist rose from beneath Lledwyn. The mists swirled around Lledwyn a few times, and then rose.
Everything returned to normal.

The Ultima Demon vanished.
