"What is this proposition of yours?" Lycos asked, wondering how he can avoid getting killed by this highly skilled warrior of his own powerful race. |

His power was gone...Then it shot up again higher then what he had felt deep below. Vanished, went half way, did a jig and disappeared again. It continued it's little dance going up and down and spinning around more often the a roller-coaster. It stabilized again, after violently shaking with such degrees of magnitude Scythe almost wondered how he managed to still be in one piece. It poofed away again. How someone could do that with the power everything generated naturally was beyond him. Not to mention exactly what the monk was. It was hard to place a name to what he was. Based on outward appearances human would be appropriate. But humans did not have golden eyes of a beast. Or some other strange features. The monk swung down a mug of ale and got up to leave. Maybe there was something interesting around here; a walk was better then getting his combat abilities impaired by alcohol. He doubted there was enough to do that, but that was beside the point. |

It proved that was no moronic being which acted on impulses, but rather relying on careful planning and thinking. That is what distinguished them from their cousins, which were controlled by their savage nature. Both men sitting in this hidden grove of wilderness were of Lycanthropic bloodlines, this Lycrios knew, but he knew not of what kind of werewolf this Lycos was. Being from a different plane of existence, he knew not how his standings were to his own. Lycrios was of a distinct bloodline, the only remaining one of kind. He knew this to be true for Lycos also, although the bloodline was not revealed to him. The employer was determined to bring down the last of Lycos’ race. Lycrios had other plans in mind. “The man made it clear to me that you were of a special breed of Lycanthrope,” said Lycrios, knowing this could bring the man out of his thoughts, and indeed it did. He almost had an air of royalty as the mention of his origins came into the conversation, but Lycrios shrugged the motion. He knew most born Lycans held their blood in high honor, as did he, some even having the idea of being higher than royalty is. Rare was the time when this was true. In Lycrios’ case, this was of fact. His blood was different from any other Lycan, even of this realm. Lycrios made his way back to the conversation at hand. “As I said before, I am not one to take on a job against my own kin willfully, but this time, I was forced into this. The man had come prepared. First of all, his messenger invaded the sanctity of my grove, which resulted in his death, but before my minions ripped his meaningless corpse to shreds, he gave out my mission, with valuable information. I did not think his words rang true before I saw it with my own eyes. My entire forest is surrounded right now by an army a size the which you cannot begin to fathom. He had the nerve to threaten me with this army. I would not have backed down in any other circumstance, but this time it was different. The warriors he had in this army were not simple soldiers, but highly trained beings. And within their ranks were some of the most powerful wizards of my realm. This being which wants you dead is a very powerful being indeed to sway so many people.” “Now, this is were my proposition comes into play. I know I can take down most of his army, but I cannot do it alone. I too have an army, but considerably smaller than his own. But all the warriors in my forest are of our cousin’s blood. This place was a sanctuary for any lycan of my world to take refuge. I have a growing civilization in the midst of my forest. This forest spans through many regions, and is a wonderful place to be. I yearn to be there now, with my people, but this war declared on my kin can end in either two ways. If I bring back your head, he leaves my woods, and I return to my modest living, or..” He paused, this was what he had come here for, and he wanted to make sure Lycos knew this was important. Lycos was into the conversation as of yet, leaning forward awaiting every word Lycrios said with great interest. “This is what I ask of you. Join me. I have access to my world within this one, but I am afraid not many know how to get there. The monk residing in this hotel right now is the only one I can think of in this realm with this same power. Our world was torn by magic, disrupting it from being able to teleport by any means except from artifacts crafted by the great wizards of my world.” He pointed to the necklace around his neck. “This artifact allows me to travel to any plane of existence, although limited to the reality in which we live in. The monk possesses another of these items, although not a necklace, which he keeps I know not where. He is of the same realm as I, which is why I found it odd for him to be here. I would have asked him to join me against this threat, but he does not share our blood, although he is more in touch with the blood of the wolf then some of our cousins. Now, I have talked long enough. This is what I asked of you. Because he is scarred of your blood, I feel that in my realm, your true powers will be revealed. In my world, the great Karaan lives, Dark God of the Forest, watcher of the Lycans. You will see that in my world, my powers increase one hundred folds. This is a feat limited to my realm. I believe that Karaan can unleash your inner Lycan abilities too. But, you will only be able to use these in this realm, and I cannot guaranty your return to this realm.” Lycrios lowered his head. He knew this was a hard choice, to leave behind all he loved in this world to fight a war he knew nothing about. Power could not sway all, but it was always a great feat. “One more thing, there is a way to return to this world after, but, you will no longer be the same when you return, so a change of identity, maybe of name would be appropriate, call it a rebirth.” Lycrios stood up and looked into the forest, pacing around. “I will go find some food, for I am hungry like never before. Come join me when you have made your decision. It would not be wise of you to run if you choose not to accompany me, for you know of the abilities our kind have for hunting. I’d rather face you in combat and see your true powers shine through. I will be waiting.” And with those words he walked off into the forest. OoC: Yep, well, PM for any info you might need. |

Her eyes are focus upon a bracelet that has her fathers name engraved on it. Her arms and legs are full of wounds but she does not care. Jedidiah Seth Amunet She notices his middle name is similiar to hers. Yaminah Leth Amunet. The only different name was her mothers. Jamil Isis Amunet. She put the bracelet on. She knew that when she found her father he would be dead. She walks toward Alucard."I am going to clean myself up then I will take Zackery off your hands. I'm retiring the whole"save the world" thing." [ June 07, 2005, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: Yaminah Amunet L ] |

As she headed up to her room, Alucard went to the room where Zackery was and packed his stuff so Yaminah can take it with her. Back on the 151st floor, Lycos was wondering what he should do next. Battling Lycrios is not an option, for he is too powerful for me to handle currently. So, I should go and help him, what are you talking about kid? your not going to give up on this place like that are you? Of course not, but this is a chance to fully realize my powers and help others of my kin. Wow, I didn't know you felt that way about others. there was no others here to feel that way about. True. You know what, let's do it. I need a good excuse to streatch my legs. A wolf spirit appeared next to Lycos and then manifested itself into flesh and blood. "Let's go," Lycos said to Deké as they went to find Lycrios. OoC: Sorry about the internal stuggle... |

I just want to rest and dedicate myself to Zackery. I was hoping to talk to Lycos about something...a feeling, but he is busy and I might not see him for days. Alucard thank you very much for the help with the baby." She hands him a pink rose. "I know its pink, but pink roses represent friendship. And you truely are a friend." The rose bloomed and inside laid a ring with a topaz in the center. He stared into the topaz and saw everyone in the hotel lobby. "It shows you what you want to see." She gave him a half smile and carried Zackery into her bedroom. [ June 07, 2005, 04:57 PM: Message edited by: Yaminah Amunet L ] |

Yaminah's room was merged with the room next to it to give her more room for Zackery and his things. This was noticed by her when she arrived at her room. As she settled in, Yaminah saw a note addressed to her on the table near the window: Quote:

She ran to Alucard. "Did he leave?!" Her eyes flashed. "I just need to say goodbye. Where is he? Did he leave? He didn't even say goodbye! He left with that Lycrios man didn't he? " Yaminah went to the bar and began to drink. "Whiskey Sour, Brandy Alexander, Beer Buster, Bourbon straight up and on-the-rocks, Devils Tail, Scotch on-the-rocks, and a White Russian." The bartender gave her all those drinks and she began with the Brandy, quickly finishing it and starting on the Scotch. "Didn't even say goodbye, might not come back, might not be same person..." She began with the Bourbon."All I wanted to say was that I lo----" She began with the Devils Tail and didn't finish the sentence. [ June 07, 2005, 05:42 PM: Message edited by: Yaminah Amunet L ] |

He headed over to the bar and sat next to Yaminah. "I knew this day would come since the fisrt time I met him." he said, bringing her out of her drinking rut. "He gave off an aura of departure from this realm since he was in his teens. I saw his look when he first saw that man and I knew that they would leave. Wheather Lycos was dead or alive, this man was taking him away." Good-Bye Lycos. Do what you have to do. Downstairs, Lycos received the message from Alucard, and resonated his own back to Alucard. See ya, Alucard. Thanks for the Training. then to Yaminah Good-Bye. Sorry for the short notice, but I have something I have to take care of and I wish not for you to get hurt. |

Not saying a word, he sat down in the less filled part of the room. He had felt that there were some of his kind in the inn. He had slayed manny during his long life. Friends, family, each and every one of them turning into blood thursty beasts. He had somehow resisted the urges, sworn on the gave of his loved ones that he would slay each and everyone of those foul beasts. Now it seemed he would have to once again spill blood. |

| Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2002 Location: A distant futur Gender: Posts: 434 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post | Lycos stepped through a few bushes and saw Lycrios feasting on a deer he must have gotten during his hunt. It was of considerable size and he was shocked that Lycrios had managed to eat almost all of it in the short amount of time it had taken him to make his decision. What caught Lycos’ eye more was the form in which Lycrios was in currently. He was of gigantic proportions for a wolf, almost the size of a giant grizzly bear. He did not question anything, for he knew that some werewolves could transform in both a humanoid form of a wolf, and also the perfect replica of a wolf. But to have a wolf of this size was unimaginable. He had only heard rumors of wolves like these in legends, never in flesh and blood. But this was no ordinary wolf he knew. Lycrios was aware that Lycos was staring at him, but he was not finished his meal, and time was not of an issue as of now. He finished off the rest of the creature, his mouth dripping from the blood of the innocent creature. When he had finished his meal, he reverted back into his human form. The glow in his eyes intensified for a brief instant before returning back to their original glow. His cloths were intact. This was something Lycos noticed as the man began to retake his form. The cloths seemed to appear from under the fur. They must have had a magical property he knew not about, but there would be enough time to ask. Lycrios walked to Lycos, noticing the wolf by his side. “I suspect you have made your choice?” asked the lycan, still traces of blood over his teeth. “Yes, I will accompany you,” answered Lycos, his head low, not knowing what he was getting himself into. “Good, now, I see you have a companion with you, then I shall go get my own companion. I cannot leave him behind in this world, he has been too good to me for me to abandon. Let us go outside, he shall not venture into this place, he smells them in here.” Lycos knew he was talking about the vampires. He was sure he would know more about Lycrios in time, but for now he contented himself of following the man. They made their way back to the lobby of the hotel, taking the elevator once more. “If you must say good-bye, now is the time. I shall be waiting for you at the outskirts of the forest nearby. Meet me there when you are ready,” said Lycrios, then he walked on out of the hotel. He knew not what Lycos would do, but he did not care. As he walked out of the hotel, the stench of rotting flesh filled his nostrils once more. It was stronger now, but he did not care of it. He had done what he wanted to do. He continued until he reached the edge of the forest. There he whistled out a few tones, some undetectable by normal ears. The correct ears heard the call deep within the forest. The massive beast made it’s way to its master, running through the forest like the wind itself. Quite a sight it was, as it emerged from the lush forest walls, knocking down a few trees on its way. A wolf of legend, Lycrios thought that by the Lycos had looked at him that this kind of wolf was non-existent in this world. They were quite rare in his own world too, Nightstrike here being one of the few known in to exist. The dire wolf was a great creature indeed, loyal like no other. Lycrios patted the head of the huge creature like a small pup. He then waited for Lycos to make his way and join him. |

She stepped back to the bar and continued drinking. "Liqour will do nothing to me, just make me a little drowsy. Like I care anymore. Could it be that they had overcome the urges, that they were still the same as they were in life? Stitting down at the bar he ordered a drink. Maybe I should watch them a bit more before doing anything rash. |

He then kissed her and said "I should be back, but if I don't return, remember this: I'll always be with you." Lycos met Deké by the door to the bar and left the hotel. He then headed in the direction that Lycrios went. When he caught up with Lycrios, he caught first glimpse of Nightstrike and was kind of thrown off by the size of him. "let's go," Lycos said to Lycrios who then began in the preparations to leave. |
