Additionally, I may be running a little late with my verdicts. This is a result of a very busy week for me. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but my results will come by Wednesday (at the latest) [ July 18, 2005, 10:38 PM: Message edited by: Shukun Shinigami ] |

| Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2002 Location: A distant futur Gender: Posts: 434 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post | Oh, what a crappy day. Car broke down, cat almost died, and crappy Internet connection wasn’t working. All that among other things. Yeah, well, I’m a try and get through this as fast as possible. Lack of sleep really catching up to me, can't even read the time correctly... Battle 1: NintendoGod vs. Zado Zudamee First of, I so wanted to slap you Zado when you chose the ever bland endless plains. Still, you guys managed to give a pretty good show, and managed to use the battlefield to some advantages. Zado, your entrance was…well, lacking to say the least, almost completely non-existent, but it worked, and you came back on your opening battle post. But overall, I think NintendoGod had a better round. This tournament will be known for having very tight and exiting match-ups. It’s hard trying to pick a winner between two very skilled fighters. --NintendoGod Battle 2: Erdawn vs. Orchis This was too bad, I would have loved to see what you guys could have pulled off, but due to time restraints things changed. Orchis, if only you could have found a way to post a combat post, at least one hit more than your entrance. Erdawn is taking this one, but not just because he was the only one to post an actual attack, but because his attack was damn good. That small lapse of time in combat was very well written and I enjoyed it a lot. --Erdawn Battle 3: Atmos vs. El Pardack Well, this was the disappointment of the round. How I would have loved to see you guys go at it. Well, Atmos wins this round by default, but great job describing Zeal. It would have been awesome to see what you could have pulled from that setting. --Atmos Battle 4: Wyborn vs. Scripture Well, what to say here. Like I had previously stated, this has been a round filled with close match-ups, and this is no exception. Wyborn, a little less offensive this time? That’s what I enjoyed in the last round, but I guess Scripture took up the candle for this round. Really started off strong Scripture, but kind of died out in the end, and Wyborn, great work using a psyonic character, well, one that actually is believable. This was probably my favorite battle this round (seeing as Orchis and Erdawn’s fight fell short ) --Wyborn ----- Yep, well, that’s it from me, I’m a go to bed now, end this crappy day. An extravagant word to the simpleton's "destroyed". Edit: Yeah, I know, I typed "the" twice. You're so funny. [ July 18, 2005, 11:15 PM: Message edited by: Scripture ] |

As for the psionic thing, well I just added that because I saw it, that wasn't part of the sarcastic tangent. I guess I should've put that first. And 'ha'? Ouch. |

Otherwise, my win-margin might have been a little lower. *Zing* Seriously, though, you haven't lost yet. | WELL I AM. Join Date: May 2001 Location: Farmerland. Gender: Posts: 7,549 Thanks: 101 Thanked 347 Times in 205 Posts | Ok, let's do this with Clint Eastwood in the background! Round 1 - NintendoGod vs. Zado Zado, your choice of a battlefield is really cliche. Next time choose a rich setting, like a running train station, or something. Also, please try a longer intro. And your attacks... Argh, no, it just seems way too cheap. NintendoGod, I've seen enough speed x_x. Yes, your attacks were brutal enough. Lovely how you kept things pretty fresh, though. Otherwise, not much more to say that I said last fight. From the start, I had a feeling this was NG's win. So it shall be. Round 2 - Edrawn vs. Orchis Nice use of dropping the F Bomb, eh? Well, that was a pretty good intro. Orchis, I was wanting to see your fighting style. What happened, borrowed Ed's computer? Winner for best intro, Edrawn. Round 3 - Atmos vs. Pardack Atmos, put the damn smokes away. Winner - Atmos. Round 4 - Wyborn vs. Scripture Clash of the Titans, eh? I had to turn off my music to concentrate, I blame the last two fights. Brutal, Scripture, brutal first post. THAT'S what the Red Lions Tournament is about. Wyborn, same. You just kick ass, no matter what. And I know from experience how brutal you are. Close battle, guys. However, I give the battle to Wy. His attacks just seemed slightly better. Now to wait for Shinigami. |

Thanks for teh comments on my intro^^. Anyways, words cannot describe my insane rage - but to twist the dagger, my PC did not only get re-formatted and made me lose everything, but I found out yesterday the hard-drive has failed as well! FAILED! So now I'm trying to by a new one to hold myself down until the big PC we're gettng in the Fall. 96 out of 110(without tax)$ saved. Moping. But I will claw my way to any PC within reach to post, so don't any of you think you're getting off easy. Ciao. |

| Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Funkytown Posts: 47 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | Battle 1: NintendoGod vs. Zado Zudamee NintendoGod: Comments: Domination is the key to winning fights, for the one who dominates is the winner. You ruled the fight pretty well, but you did lose your hold a few times. Your attacks were interesting and rather entertaining. I suppose I liked them rather much. Outcome: Winner Zado Zudamee: Comments: The lack of originality in terms of your choice of battlefield is painful, but I’m not judging you on your choice of battlefield. Anyway, you did decently in terms of fighting. I was never impressed, but I did find that some of your attacks made me understand your brutality. You just need to harness that ability to write the fight a little better, because then you can write the attacks you have in your mind even better. You lacked the ability to dominate this fight, and that’s why I give you this verdict. Outcome: Loser Battle 2: Erdawn vs. Orchis Erdawn: Comments: You wrote a very nice introduction, but it was rather repetitious with the same words. This is a problem others had, but I wanted to tell you because I know how serious you are about perfecting your writing and all. The actual fight was pretty nice. I liked how you described a lot of it and made it feel raw. I think that’s the best word – raw. Anyway, good show. Outcome: Winner Orchis: Comments: It’s a shame more couldn’t have been shown from you. You had a lot of potential this round, too. I was very eager to see what you could do to Erdawn. Nevertheless, he beat you not just in the fight itself, but also with his skill as a writer in providing imagery. I would recommend to you to not be repetitious with words. If you’re trying to emphasize something, then go right ahead; but if you’re using the same word repeatedly because you know of no other synonymous word, I’d suggest just subscribing to Word of the Day newsletters. I get them every day. They help me expand my vocabulary twice in a day because I get two, www.dictionary.com and www.m-w.com Outcome: Loser Battle 3: Atmos vs. El Pardack Atmos: Comments: You did a good job at describing Zeal and I was rather impressed with how you portrayed it with your description. I can see that you’re still learning to write, so I’d recommend learning proper punctuation as the next step in advancing your skill That would really help you the most. If I can think of a book to help with this, I’ll give you the title. Outcome: Winner El Pardack: Comments: It’s a shame you had to attend camp. You would’ve kicked ass, too. I wanted to see what you could really do. Outcome: Loser Battle 4: Wyborn vs. Scripture Wyborn: Comments: If I could, I would make this a tie. There was either too little to determine a victory, or just too close between you two. I’m saying the latter. Wyborn, I would say you did a good job at outwitting your adversary and of being strategic in how you fought. Your character was more of a mental fighter, using her mind to win and that’s refreshing. I honestly can’t determine a winner, but I must choose. I’d say you controlled it less than Scripture did, by just a bare margin. I had to reread this fight three times to come to this conclusion. I hate you two. Outcome: Loser Scripture: Comments: If I could, I would make this a tie. There was either too little to determine a victory, or just too close between you two. I’m saying the latter. Scripture, I would say you did a great job with brutality. You were truly fearsome and angry with the way you portrayed this character. I liked him a lot. I honestly can’t determine a winner, but I must choose. I’d say you controlled it more than Wyborn did, by just a bare margin. I had to reread this fight three times to come to this conclusion. I hate you two. Outcome: Winner Now I will read the other judgings, and then I will post who wins and who dies. Prepare for execution! |

And Lycrios, since when is a telekinetic or psychic character believable? That, too, seemed to be the only thing you mentioned of Wyborn - yet, he still gets your vote? | |

| Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Funkytown Posts: 47 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | And now, the victories: Battle 1: NintendoGod vs. Zado Zudamee WINNER: NintendoGod! Battle 2: Erdawn vs. Orchis WINNER: Erdawn! Battle 3: Atmos vs. El Pardack WINNER: Atmos! Battle 4: Wyborn vs. Scripture WINNER: Wyborn! ----------- Four fights, eight fighters, only four would emerge victorious, while the other four would meet the ferryman at the river Styx. Though each separated by location, they were all universally bound to one another and connected, for they all fought to win in a tournament that ultimately demanded their blood. And then their came the command, to each and every man declared the winner of their respective fights – the request for execution, as it had come before. From the same raspy voice that once spoke it, vibrating in their ears until they would obey. “FINISH HIM” |

I thought Scripture came off real strong, which was nice, but, I felt that the speed of which is post flowed slowed down in the end, although true that the damage was great indeed. Wyborn kept a good pace, with brutality and just a more enjoyable reading experience. I felt Scripture's post slowed down the combat a bit, which is why I gave Wy the upper hand, as his post were more fluid, even though his damage was not as substancial. I kind of wrote the judging fast, as I was not sure how long my internet connection would hold off. I've had problems lately. Anyway, I'll try and be clearer next round. Sorry for any inconvenience. (I know I spell a few things wrong, I blame it on my french background) |

I really like action...I have no story like imagination just brutal combat insticts. Even all the books I read I cannot pull any story like qualitys from it. even though my gramar will cause me to lose against wyborn. But thats not to say i'm gonna take away half of whatever character he uses life along with me. kind of hard to finish off someone who did not show...so I will not execute anyone this round...hoping to next round. Bury me with my armor after you kill me. |
