| Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Funkytown Posts: 47 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | Sorry for taking a little longer than I expected to post this round. I had to work over today and that cut deeply into me posting this topic. Anyway, let the bloodshed commence. Battle 1: NintendoGod vs. Zado Zudamee Battle 2: Erdawn vs. Orchis Battle 3: Atmos vs. El Pardack Battle 4: Wyborn vs. Scripture And your judges are... 1. Shinigami (host) 2. Lycrios 3. Luigi007 Some general things that people might not be aware of: 1. Transformations are allowed. If your character can go Super Saiya-jin, or turn into a giant thing that's like a weird hybrid between a man and a bear and a wolverine, or just whatever, you can do it. You jsut have to carry over damage between forms. 2. No major healing. If your throat gets slashed open and you seal up the wound, that's fine. If your arm gets chopped off and your character has the ability to put it back in place, that's also time. But do your best to keep from healing the damage incurred - I mean, you can put your arm back on, but it still hurts you a lot even with that done. 3. All battles will occur in the same topic. I hope that isn't too hard on the judges, but I don't want to clutter up the forum too damn much. Next tournament I might set it up so that the fighters are in different divisions, but this time we're keeping things simple. 4. Whoever posts first for the fight gets to choose the battlefield. That means that if Atmos wants to fight in Teletubby world, then that's where you're fighting Mr. Pardack. And, in case anyone has forgotten... 5. If you win, you will have the opportunity to finish off your enemy Mortal Kombat style. After the judges announce the winner, the host will say when the executions will be carried out. At that point, you can kill your opponent - you don't have to, but it is encouraged. Don't worry if your character is killed; as with everything like this, character deaths are not permanent and don't carry over between topics unless you want them to. This round will end on Monday, July 18th, at 4:00 PM EST. [ July 11, 2005, 06:31 PM: Message edited by: Shukun Shinigami ] |

The beautiful kingdom of Zeal shined like a shooting star above the clouds of the earth. back in those days the world was divided into two classes, the ones who used magic and the ones that didn't. The ones that did obviously had it better for they lived on a chunk of lands that floated above with the sun alsways shining from morning until night. The did not fear of hunger, crimes, or death. Their magic kept them forever young forever living. They neither cared much about anyone else...only themselves. The people below the clouds you could imagine had it terribly worse. With the clouds always lingering blocking the sun. The beasts of tha world always attacking. The earth bound ones had to fight these same very beasts to survive for with very little light and almost eternal cold growing food was impossible. But because of this hardship the earthbound ones had more unity amongs them then the ones above could ever understand...or have. The two seperate people of that world mingled amongsr each other time from time, but only so they could help one another. They had a way of teleporting to one another by way of a small teleporting gate. When ever some labor needed to be done the earthbound ones would do it. In return recieving food enough to survive a few days. One figure in Zeal, at the very moment was not mingling with anyone. This figure stood in the cave in which the gates were located. The cave was big enough to fit a large two story house in...or for two warriors to fight. The warrior hoping for that stood waiting for his opponent to show by way of the gate or the cave entrance. He walked to the mouth of the cave and looked out onto the kingdom of Zeal. It was basically split into 3 hug island sized towns. The cave in which he stood was on the floating island with the more friendler people. It was also the small of the 3three. The larger the continent the more stuck up the people were. But if you could use magic...then all was good between you and them. The largest of the floating islands contained the castle the heart of Zeal. There very powerfull magic users lived under their queen. The man knew nothing of what kind of person she is but he could feel the her power...and a great evil around her. He suspected she fealt the same of him. The man shrugged and thought she doesn't bother me...I won't bother her. he patted his newly reienforced armor and leaned against the mouth of the cave waiting. "Maybe he shall appear on one of the other islands though one of the teleporters that connect them,"The dragon knight thought outloud to himself. |

His skin was like ceremonial ash over ruins of metal, skin and muscles tempered to nature’s ebb and flow. Orange garments fluttered in the wind; a metal pole resonated icily in a magnetic, leather sheath; his eyes were like an SUV’s headlights. So he ran, an almost instinctual gait, bred into him since childhood. The buildings looked like mountains, he thought, shooting into the sky, yielding not even to thunderstorms. |

Capisci? I still don’t have my god damn computer back. Apparently my parents don’t want to shell out any part of 94.79 to pay for the blasted thing. Right. Second business – due to the ****arow with the PC, my brother didna get a chance to mention, but he’ll be away at camp for the next 8 weeks. Thus, forfeit to you, Atmos. And Atmos – you described Zeal. Good job. That means even if my brother hadn’t played CT, he wouldn’t be in an idiot position. That’s the way to do it (almost redeems your homosexual avatar. Damn, man. Why not Arlong? Or like… Krieg or that sand guy or something…). As for more random bits of business, what ****ing luck we’ve been having, eh? Cam’s unexpected vacation (and dun worry Cam, my parents are jerks the same way ), two hardrive crashes, delays… ****. Hopefully we’ll have better luck with the next tournament, but for now, let’s make the best. Eh? And there you are, Cam. Galadriel? Hmph? You make this good now. As for the rest of you. Step up and post! I don’t have a computer and I’m managing! Where the hell are you, Orchis? …uh… where to battle… and with whom… crapapples. (contemplates) -OoC It was ancient a thing. Built entirely of stacked, mortarless golden brick and the odd supporting shafts of basalt stone it stood against the sky and earth like a timeless mountain, so crusted with the serpentine slithering of creeper vines and the hungry bodies of climbing mosses and the layered dirts and soils which in themselves were probably an old enough thing to be admired, that the gold itself was only partially visible. A great and ancient pyramid - a mountain of gold and basalt. It peaked into a flat-topped crown something like a full thirty meters across in length and width, carved from top to bottom with crude imagery depicting everything from the lowliest game animals to the most sacred and mysterious of ritualistic sacrifice. Something built by man, or man before they could have been rightfully called man, or perhaps even a race older than man. It was stacked so high that the thick jungle canopies were like a sea of lush greens and jades and browns, frothing with leaves to crash against the stacked steps of the pyramid’s colossal base. Thick mists and fogs rolled across the top like low-flying clouds, hot and sweated with the damp heat of the southern jungles. The sun beat down like a drum, partially obscured in mists and fogs, a sullen, dull disk of pulsating heat. The win blew strong. Perhaps the most striking quality of the unnatural mountain was its perfect lack of individuality. Spaced across miles of sweating jungle rose more of the same pyramids, all identical in height and architecture, like the scattered Lego blocks of some polypheme titan. But the rest is unimportant – atop the pyramid – our pyramid – hunched a figure. It was so heavily draped in furs there was to definable quality to illustrated race, skin, or any features of the creature itself, man or best. Only the furs – albino baboon pelts, sewn and stacked in haphazard bulk, dirty and lecherously white and standing out against the ancient pyramid like a frothing maggot, scabrous and revolting for reasons ineffable. Empty faces stared hollow-eyed from across the frame, hot, wet skins sagging like rubber, bodiless teeth hanging like bone icicles, boneless sockets gaping like unwholesome mouths. At the top of the pyramid, he waited. He waited. OoC: Had to write this fast – I don’t exactly get much time on my Dad’s crap-toaster of a computer. Hope it suffices. Better things to come. |

Atmos looked up, his opponent was not comming. he was dissapointed but that is the way life is. he started walking along the pathway towards to the other gate. He was going to visit the queen. he fealt familiar pressences of her. Could she be? "Dark Magus,"he muttered to himself."I see now...this is your mother..." He walked through town determined to have a word with this woman. |

The rolling plain was not very awe-inspiring or of any major variety. The same, ubiquitous golden grass coated the hills, creating this bland haze which shimmered and shifted as the wind rolled over the lands. But it was vast. Even without any major landmarks, or even a single tree, the field was enourmous, and even as Scythe stood in the center, he couldn't see the edges of this field. He could, however, see his opponent. Lucius was slowly walking towards him from the distant hills of this massive field, slowly trudging through the windswept grass. His hands were empty, his cloak flowing around him, fluttering in each and every pluse of air. He drew closer, until Scythe could hear the scrape of his boots as he came to a stop on a low hill, about thirty meters off. Neither of them said a word for a passing moment, until Lucius broke the silence. "Well, I've never been much for starting a battle. Would you care to take the first move?" And with that, he streched his arms and stood, carefully watching his foe. He did not draw any weapons, nor did he call any magic upon himself; he remained unarmed for the moment, and awaited his opponent's rebuttal... |

So you better bring in in bold, Atmos. Anyways, to proove to Cam just how similar our parents seem to be, mine have informed me I'll be gone until Sunday. Today. Weepee! The irony is my computer is back. Weepee! I've been re-installing everything, Internet, Word, but won't have any of it except internet up until Sunday. My book is stil gone. Regardless, I shall try and find time to post, Orchis. Maybe my relatives have a computer. With internet. I doubt it. Has the VGF template changed? Not Verdana anymore? For some reason it looks... I dunno... spiffier. Maybe its my screen size. Anyway, Netscape is a terribly slow browser and its going to take eons for me to post this. I shall catch you all Sunday with tales of Woe. |
